as much as we love old Robbie, to just disgregard Van Nistelroooooooy as not being as good is blinkered (heh) of you imo. Just look at their records over recent seasons, just for starters!

 

He's an excellent striker, dunno if he'd be suited to us like, and I very much doubt we'd go for him or he'd come here, but he's a heck of a goal scorer.

He is what we need and we should try and get him but it would never happen. Proven at doing his job in our league, will be very motivated to say the least, be foolish not to try. I cannot stand the bloke as a person but I can see what he would add and the extra points we would gather from having him.

I do think RVN is the type of player that would suit Rafa's system but I share your reservations over his age.
