Guest Makaveli Smith Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 If chelsea start next season without Mourinho then how large an effect do you see it taking on the league. Do you tihnk they will be able to win it again without him? or do you think that they really have just bought the title ? Personally I think he will go and soon... There is talk that Rikard could end up at milan for next term, Id then see Mourinho off to barca,a place where he will continue his winning ways and actually get the credit he deserves. As for the effect that Him leaving will have on the league and mainly , liverpool? I think we'll be in the race from start to finish... I wouldn't be suprised if we are top of the table for a large part of next term too. there I said it... we're feckin great!

Guest Makaveli Smith Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Rikard to Milan? Ya, I've heard it from a guy who is in no way connected or anything like that but He tends to know his stuff... apparently Rikard is desparete to manage milan and is even willing to leave the success at barca to get there... of course Milan are also meant to be interested, but people there have not been happy with Ancelotti for a long time now
Ronnie Whelan Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 But surely Barca will pull out all the stops to keep if they win the CL?
Guest Scot Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 I don't think Mourinho will be there long-term. If he leaves he'll be replaced by another top-class coach. I think we can beat them to the title anyway, whoever is the manager.
denver Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Barca despise Mourinho though. They just refer to him as the translator now... His antic in the Chelsea Barca games didn't go down well there
jimmylibel Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Don't think Milan will be getting rid of Ancelotti any time soon, specially when they only recently had him sign a new contract.
Gunga Din Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 whoever they get as manager, you can be certain of one thing. he will have neither the class nor ability of Rafa

Guest Makaveli Smith Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Don't think Milan will be getting rid of Ancelotti any time soon, specially when they only recently had him sign a new contract. are you serious???? But I've been hearing talk for a long long time that they were looking to get rid of him.. that he wasnt doing enough with the players he had. Talk that his champions league form was keeping him in his job when all the milan supporters and staff want is the league title...
wacko Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 I can't see Berlusconi being happy with Ancelotti. I can't see Barca offering Mourinho a job, either. I'm not so sure if he'll willingly leave so soon. Why? He's not going to be paid as much elsewhere and he's never going to have it as easy in the transfer market. I could see Abramovich moving him along, though. He didn't become as rich as he is by throwing money away, so I can't see the spending continuing much longer. A billion is still a lot of money, even to someone with 12bn. He could have bought a huge tropical island and built Shangri La on it for that. He's a clever man, and he knows that there are a dozen managers out there who would win the league just as easily with his cash. If Mourinho doesn't bring the CL to Stamford Bridge soon, someone else will be given the chance.
realtarragona Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 I'd be more confident of us being able to win it as Mourinho has made them amazingly consistent but I fail to see why he'll going anywhere so it's a bit pointless speculating.

You are mad if you think Barcelona will sign a coach that plays boring football, no matter how succesful he is. He wouldn't last half a season at Barcelona with Cruyff at the helm(he is the one who "signed" Rijkaard)

kacangpool Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 (edited) i'd want to see rafa beat chelsea while mourinho is still there, otherwise you'd never hear the end of it. Edited May 8, 2006 by kacangpool

Honestly, as much as I despise him sometimes for being a big baby... the man lives and breathes success and attention. He would very quickly take a huge pay cut in order to get the praise that he deserves and he does deserve it.. He will leave, maybe not go to Barca but I think Rikard will be at Milan very soon... the barca mourinho thing was just a thought of mine.
Guest prophet Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 (edited) If Rafa leaves(God forbid! Not RF!) to Real Madhouse, will you accept Moanrinho second time round? Edited May 8, 2006 by prophet
ozziecazzie Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 I want Mourinho to stay at Chelsea for as long as possible. As i've said before, they will implode with him at the helm, and I don't want him anywhere near our club.
R A Softlad Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 I think we can beat them to the title anyway, whoever is the manager. Me too. It's all down to smarts and Rafa's got them in abundance.
Maldini Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 i dont rate rijkaard that much as a coach...He's turned a struggling side into one that's won two titles in a row and is in a European Cup final, all while playing great football. You're a hard taskmaster.

You're a hard taskmaster. With that set of players, not winning the Spanish league would be quite poor. He's still done a great job mind, they play the most entertaining football in the Europe. As for Mourinho, i dont think another manager could get better results with that squad. But he has the most cautious approach to football i've ever seen from a top team.
chiliking Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Chelsea have bought themselves a title and will try to do so, even next year. Mourhino deserves nothing but loath, he surely will not take over Barca, the chance is bigger for Real Madrid. And yeah, We will take over the top slot of the premiership.
