Absolutely phenomenol. I'm becoming obsessed with watching it, have to sky plus it every Thursday night/Friday morning. See Boca at Velez the other week and there wasnt a second without something being sung, it went on for the whole match, thats no exagerration. Just finished watching Velez at Newells in the Copa Libertadores and everyone in the ground was bouncing up and down, firing fireworks into the air from the terraces while the game was going on and singing non stop it's f***ing mental. Definately got to go out there one day, it pisses all over anything in this country even our Euro nights, it's incredible.

Anyone been out there for a game?

I'm with you on that one mate. My dream match (not involving Liverpool) is to be in La Bombenera for a Boca Juniors v River Plate match.

Incredible.

I remmeber a Red who was based in Buenos Aries doing an article about that rivalry, which was an incredible read.

I'll see if I can find it anywhere!

Watched that the other night, they had to abandon the game for 15 minutes to let everyone calm down. Did you see the amount of rockets being set off during the break? Unreal!

That guy Somoza that we were linked with scored 2 penos for Velez, looks a decent player, big lad, bit slow though.

You?re right about the atmosphere at that game. My best mates brother has been to the Boca v River game, 2 years ago. Got his ticket on the black market, and considering he's a season ticket holder and he's been up to Celtic v Rangers, he's been around. He commented on the same thing you mentioned about atmosphere, how intense it was, this being more so at Boca's La Bombonera (might have something to do with Boca being the working class team, and River being the opposite). He said bit frightening, but an once in a life experience, that while he was over their he had to see. At some cost
