Earl Hafler Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 2,000 GuineasGeorge Washington is a worthy favourite. The only doubt is the condition of O'Briens horses. Don't think he's had a winner in 2 or 3 weeks and Fallon has apparently picked up a foot injury riding in a donkey derby at Tiperrary.I'll be backing Stoute's Final Verse at 40-1 each way - Stoute's horses are in fantastic knick - and i might have a bit on George Washington doubled up with my 1,000 Guineas pick1,000 GuineasNannina is my pick for this at 6-1. Backed her last year and she's been the subject of heavy support all through the spring. She ran a brilliant race in the Fillies Mile and did everything her jockey asked her to do, even having to switch direction quite markedly and burst through a gap. Gosden is in top form.Race For The Stars might follow her home. Final Verse each way in the 2,000Win double of George Washington and Nannina. Anyone else got any fancies ? Matty, Andy Mac, RP ?
