so no-one else feels embarrassed, i'll admit i wasnt disappointed when we signed the desperately poor paul stewart! he'd had a decent fa cup final, i hadn't seen him play much else, and i was only a wee lad with no judgment....but what a disappointment!

no, but considering how good he was when he was at Forest playing with Brian Roy he was a disappointment for us - he had the lot, power, pace, two good feet......

Cisse and Morientes also - I was delighted with both signings, but they've each proved to have their own very differing limitations.

 

Djando Cissientes who has Cisse's pace and Moro's touch, heading ability and footballing brain would be the best striker in world football.

 

How's that genetic research facility at Melwood coming on? If its not up and running yet, then sack Parry...

Phil Babb is a great shout. Thought he would be outstanding for us. Another who I thought would be a star was Litmanen but he was hugely disappointing, for whatever reason, as well.

I had a nagging doubt over Morientes, so I wont say I was overly disappointed with him.

Although he's become a bit of a legend following Istanbul I'd have to also say Vladi.

 

Incredibly talented footballer - but didn't really deliver to his potential during his time here due to a mixture of injuries and lack of confidence.

 

Seems a top bloke though, and as I said has written himself into legend regardless...
