I agree. I think they'll struggle to win in court on that, which might end up with people getting to see more footy. They've been nothing but greedy since they got the rights.

They're supposed to be losing half their coverage for next season, bad for the consumers unless one of the terrestrials pulls off a miracle.

Eh? They're unlikely to be losing half their coverage. They've already won 3 out of 6 of the packages of games on offer, and the other 3 have gone on to a further set of bidding. Sky are certain to get one more package, could well get 2 more and aren't allowed to get all 3. Worst case is they have 3 out of 6, but that ain't going to happen.

Smart money is on NTL or Setanta forking out for at least one package.

BTW Rose & Crown on Kew Green is a nice pub. Had a great Barnsley chop there on Monday. ;)

Yeah, but you probably don't have to take a loan out to buy a fecking burger in there.

Aren't Sky only bidding for one of the remaining packages, putting all their money there to blow everyone else out of the water? It'll leave everyone else fighting for the scraps of the two least attractive options.

To be fair to Cobs, he can at least advise you on the best mortgage option required to finance the purchase of his food. An impressive multi-strand business structure.

I'm sure the way he puts the burger deal together, with the "free" potato salad gives him some sort of tax advantage as well.

How is receiving potato salad any kind of advantage? Especially with a burger.

Potato salad is just rank food served by grannies

I would have thought anyone who'd pay £15 to snog a bird would be quite happy to pay half that for their dinner...
