Guest spk Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Arsenal may sue over Diaby tackle ... LINK FTA: '... the Gunners boss said: "It is frustrating and unacceptable because the player had no intention of going for the ball in my opinion."'
sutty Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I thought that it wasn't that bad a tackle. Obviously it's bad that it injured him that badly but it looked a yellow to me and nothing more.
Stevie H Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 i didn't think that it looked malicious. clumsy maybe. and it's not like diaby would have played in the CL final anyway is it?
sutty Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 i didn't think that it looked malicious. clumsy maybe. and it's not like diaby would have played in the CL final anyway is it? He probably would have been able to walk around the pitch in the lap of honour unaided.
MarkD Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Another reason to hope Aresenal win nothing, finish 5th and lose Henry. Wegner is becoming nothing more than a loud-mouth bore.
Stevie H Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Another reason to hope Aresenal win nothing, finish 5th and lose Henry. Wegner is becoming nothing more than a loud-mouth bore. familiarity breeds contempt. he's still a bloody good manager.
MarkD Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 familiarity breeds contempt. he's still a bloody good manager. His record is excellent but his cooments over us and the CL last year, his outburst at Jol and now this - feeling the pressure maybe? Small club in North London getting above their station and having too much influence in how things are done through Dein.

Swipe Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 He's really went down in my estimation this year. Never had a problem with him before. Him and his smug, whinny team.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Lucas Neill may as well retire now, if that's the way footy's going
boohog Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Does Wenger take his lead from Dream Team? 'The man who destroyed football'
Serko Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Not seen it myself, but was the tackle really that bad? How did it compare to the Essien one?
John am Rhein Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 FTA: '... the Gunners boss said: "It is frustrating and unacceptable because the player had no intention of going for the ball in my opinion."' I'm surprised he even saw it.
sutty Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Not seen it myself, but was the tackle really that bad? How did it compare to the Essien one? Not even nearly as bad.
Cobs Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 (edited) His record is excellent but his cooments over us and the CL last year, his outburst at Jol and now this - feeling the pressure maybe? Small club in North London getting above their station and having too much influence in how things are done through Dein.what he said about Jol was a disgrace - amazed the club didn't push him to make an apology for that - or the FA to charge him ahhhhh - Dein again...... crisps Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 (edited) Wenger is just turning into a Bell3nd, All he's bothered about is winjing and 'legal action.' Legal action over Dan Smith, Legal action about Mourinhos voyeur comments and calling Jol a liar. He's done a excellent job but wish he'd lighten up the miserable t*** Can't wait for some Manager-offs next year, especially some of Warnock's Edited May 3, 2006 by mikeyj
Barnes' left foot Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I never used to have a problem with Wenger or Arsenal until we became Champions of Europe and Wenger spouted his bitter crap about us. I really hope Barca spank them in the final.
intense enigma Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 (edited) calling Jol a liar. Damn right... It's shocking the idiot actually sees fit to call Jol a liar when he fookin never saw almost any decision that goes against his opponents. Really hope they get tonked by Barca as i can't wait to see him and Henry sobbing in each others arms singing 'smoke gets in your eyes' Edited May 3, 2006 by intense enigma

Raj Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Not seen it myself, but was the tackle really that bad? How did it compare to the Essien one? It was a bad tackle. But it looked mis-timed to me. Not as intentional as Essien's on Hamman. It would compare with the Reo-Coker foul on Essien back in January. Unfortunately for Diaby, his foot was on the turf, when the impact hit his ankle. I dont think it would have been so serious otherwise. As for Wenger, he is coming across as an even bigger tool after each media comment. I think his comments about Jol were in very poor taste.
intense enigma Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 (edited) ...and next season Flamini leading them out in their brand new stadium on a Thursday night in the Uefa cup against croatia zagreb on Channel 5 I thought Diaby was supposed to be the new Vieira...or was he supposed to be the new Sissoko? jimmylibel Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 maybe. doesn't put him in ferguson and mourinho's bracket of loathesomeness though. I don't know Stevie, he's really getting up there this season... And while I accept he's been an excellent manager I'm not buying all this hype that this year's side are currently getting - like they'd be challenging if the players had had a little longer to bed in and as if he wasn't involved in the decisions in the transfer market last summer. Some of his excuses and 'comments' are the type of thing that GH was being slaughtered for in his last season or two.
Bootle Buck Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Is that "our Diaby" that went out on loan Whinger was saying that It is typical and that every club has to resort to that type of thuggery to stop Arsenal. He must have been asleep during the games were his boys didn't even bother going through the motions...........like at Anfield.
