Nerik Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Italian newspaper Tuttosport is claiming that LFC are looking to offload Cisse and that Houllier wants him at Lyon. Inter are said to be contemplating making a bid.
Case Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 "claiming that LFC are looking to offload Cisse"..... Finger on the pulse, there....
Guest Anders Honoré Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Get in there Inter. hopefully they will pay Inter prices.
Phil236849 Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 no doubt marseilles will be all over the papers again saying they are very interested in taking him on on a season's loan at reduced wages subsidised by lfc
Mike Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 as a fan, ask yourself what you can do to expediate this process
jimmylibel Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 as a fan, ask yourself what you can do to expediate this process Pretend to be an Inter Milan fan and send loads of emails begging him to join to his website? Or just take Matty out of the picture so they don't get word?
Stanley Leisure Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Anything over £6m and i'd snap their hands off. Hopefully i'll be in on the negotiations.
Guest Aussie_Red Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I would've imagined Lyon would be one of the most likely clubs to want him, given who manages them. But will Cisse want to go back to France, having not proven that he can play in different leagues? Maybe he will move to Italy or join another British club?
jimmylibel Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 If we got a few press stories going about Inter and Barca fighting for his signature, Newcastle are bound to show an interest.
Guest The Chunk Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I'm sure Ged will get him and pay what's right...
MarkD Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I've told a couple of well placed Tottenham fans of the developments, hopefully Jol will now show a bit of interest - together with the 6000+ players he has been linked with today.
Serko Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Maybe Houllier, can convince Sheppard a Owen/ cisse swap is a good deal.
boohog Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 (edited) hopefully they will pay Inter prices. You mean Eur10billion payable over the next millenium dependent on appearances? (and when it comes down to it they simply won't pay) Edited May 3, 2006 by boohog
Flasher Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 (edited) I like what you did there Serko Edited May 3, 2006 by Flasher
Nebraska Red Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 where is all this "get rid of Cisse" stuff coming from? i thought he was well liked and one of our best performers. i really must stop hibernating for the winter and spring.
Huyton_Red Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 (edited) Italian newspaper Tuttosport is claiming that LFC are looking to offload Cisse and that Houllier wants him at Lyon. Proof he is mad Edited May 3, 2006 by Huyton_Red
McBain Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 And of course everyone on all internet fora was praying the signing wouldn't go through. That there'd be an 11th hour hitch for this 'crap french striker' who's got no first touch and is a sulky bast*rd
Fagan Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 the irony of it all is that we normally always have last minute hitches or late developments that hold up or scupper our signing of players, cisse's signing was the most straightforward, and now were gonna struggle to offload him
