Thought it was a load of s**** to be honest, would of been better if it wasnt Gary Lineker on there though. The scenes at Boca's ground were good though, defo got to go there one day.

Yeah Lineker was too MOTDish for me. Needed somone stronger to ask those hard-hitting questions.

But nothing on his Napoli/Italian spell, nothing on Italia 90 and the next 4 years. Maybe i was expecting too much but did want a bit more detail rather than what was a tabloid documentary :(

Refused to watch it because of the ads for it where Lineker's voiceover going "...hadn't yet shook the hand of God" was timed to show Maradona shaking Lineker's hand beside the pool. Gurning leather-faced tuat.

Wasnt expecting too much from it, just wanted to see the little man! Always has been my fave player of all time! Glad to see he is looking healthy!

Aka 'Gary On the Pull in Argentina'

thought it was very disappointing, mainly because BBc has been plugging this programme and hyping it for quite a while now.

firsty, it was very short in length, and it was on far too late.

also, there was v little content in it, which is why a lot of the show's valuable time is taken up showing lineker going to the house only to be told to come back in a few hours cause maradona wasnt there.

there was nothing insightful at all, nothing i didnt know before. the actualy questioning/interview seemed to be a minor part of the programme and the least interesting part. it was v interesting to see the levels of adoration he still commands, v interesting to see him at the Boca game and playing indoor football.

but other than that, for a programme BBC hyped so much it was an anti-climax to say the least.

Lineker was poor, he seemed to have his questions pre-prepared and had no scope to deviate from his prepared questions or even delve further or pursue an answer that maradona gave

I liked it when he said "I could probably have beaten England by myself, but for the other games I needed the rest of the team." with a completely straight face.

It was bloody boring, save for the odd moment of craziness from Diego.

i had him in my deadpool last year, was really confident, but the b*****d didn't die.

i've put maradona in instead of him this year.

It was disappointing. Lineker goes on about how long it's taken to meet Diego, and his first question is that old patroniser's favourite, "you had a poor upbringing, did that make you fight even harder for success?"

The translation was hilarious. Gary says "Un partido de bam bam bam" with accompanying hand gestures, and the subtitles say "I was rather taken aback by the intensity of the match earlier this evening" or something like that.

Soy Gary Lineker de Bay Bay Thay!

That's because it's probably true. People on the programme were saying he was one of the best. The fact is is he was, and still is the greatest footy player to draw breath

For THAT goal he damned near did beat the England team by himself.

An amazing game purely because of the two extremes of his goals. One a blatant handball, the other just stunning. I don't think I've honestly ever gotten tired of watching that other goal, its just about as good as football comes.

Thought it was ok. Lineker was as obsequious and unpleasantly ingratiating as you'd expect but Diego is always watchable.

I liked that Diego has a Cabernet Sauvignon names after him. Gary gets a bag of crisps. Says it all really.

I liked it when Maradona's mother asked Lineker what he would like to drink and Gary, like a trained chimp, pointed to the bottle of pepsi. Table manners Gary ? :)
