Savage headed in his own cross?? f*** me I didn't think he was that quick.

"Your support is f***ing sh*t" being sung.

Not sure if it's directed at Blackburn by Chelsea or by Blackburn to Chelsea's pitiful away following. Either way, whoever is singing it has a nerve.

Reminds me of a time Wales played the Kiwi's at egg chasing and both sides were singing "Sheep-Sh@ggers"

Haven't seen Lampard once and I have watched the whole match. Also, SWP's confidence seems shot.

Therefore, my prediction:

BRFC 1 Savage (43) - CFC 2 SWP (77), Lampard (90 pen)

It was the Chelsea fans singing that, which was fecin ironic alright.

Steven Reid got the goal.

That Reid has come on a lot as a player this season.

yeah, I like that Steven Reid, looks a very good player.

Well funny when Savage was celebrating the goal, thinking he scored it, and Reid turns away quietly with a big grin on his face, pointing at his chest to say he scored it, letting Savage carry on making a prat of himself (and get booked in the process) :D

Anyway, well in Rovers - that result takes them into the UEFA Cup, Bolton and Newcastle can't catch them now.

I second that. Although deep down I wanted Neccy to qualify for the waffa.......just so ickle mickey had to come up with a dam fine excuse to feck off.......now it seems he has the perfect opp. to do one!! Best they enter the inter two bob then eh!!?

Chelsea have been shiiiite. SWP trying too hard to justify the pricetag looked a shadow of the player at City. Taken off for Joe Cole which will do SWP's confidence wonders.

Our Pongolle is a weird little player. Very rarely he's capable of breathtaking skill but too often he doesn't see the options open to him or mis***s a simple pass. he won't be back with us next season, he'd need too long to develop and he's already of an age where he needs regular football.

They just guaranteed me £300 too. I had £20 at 15-1 at the start of the season on Paddy Power's Premiership Handicap. Our handicap was 18 points - add that to 79 (hopefully 82) for a minimum 97 points, which beats Chelsea's maximum of 94. I think the Mancs' handicap was 6 so they're way out of the picture. :)

what a stealth-turnaround from blackburn this season. they were flirting with relegation not long before christmas. the squad's not the most glamorous, so you've got to give credit to mark hughes for guiding them to a european spot. top geezer, even if he was a manc.

i tuned in for the last ten minutes or so of the match and the blackburn fans were unrelenting in making noise for their team. singing, clapping & stamping throughout. it was the noisiest i've ever heard an english team's support (after our own of course on countless occasions)

Fratton Park always comes across as the loudest on tv anyway. Even if their songs are f***ing s**** and that bell should be shoved up the bell ringer's a***.

Glad blackburn have clinched 6th actually, couldnt stand if Newcastle or Bolton got it and even if it was a 2nd string, any ground we can make up on Chelsea overall the better imo. To go from 37 points back from the champions to about 12 is a fantastic achievment.

aye, even them. they were rockin' tonight at ewood. probably just to shut those chelsea fans up.

They didn't need to shut the Chavs up - they were making less noise than a Basenji.

:P I had one of those. It made no noise alright, but it sure knew how to annoy the hell out of you. Exactly like Chelsea fans then really Apologies to Kristina who is exempted ;) )

Talking of Savage, did you see that one that dropped out of the sky to him in acres of space? He trapped it further than I could leather it. Garbage.

I wish Blackburn had missed out on Europe. Their Manager's a Manc (with some credit over April 15) and their captain is Lucas Neill. And if a few kids with a drum and inane "mumble mumble blue white army" equals atmosphere I don't get it.

Small town in Burnley. But always a good day out.

Are you sure. I'd have thought Wigan/West ham or blackburn would be in with a shout of winning the league in the handicap format.
