Now that Gary Mac has declined the post, what do you reckon on Aldo. Just heard it mentioned off a couple of lads (no source) just rumours. It might be a good shout as he has managed before and really loves Liverpool. What do you reckon.

He did quite a good job as a manager in the beginning. Sort of went pear shapped but I'd actual prefer Aldo to Gary Mac anyway.

surely rafa would go for someone with more tactical nous than passion. he seems to be structuring the reserves as a platform for 'rehearsing' first team operations. while aldo has the love of the club, i'm not sure he'd be the most technically-gifted coach.

It would be a long shot but I'd love Steve Nichol to give it a go. He's been a successful manager in a weak league and it would be a good bit of succession planning for someone who could realistically manage us one day.

 

Of course that's assuming his idea of the game fits in with Rafa's - I think this is the key element in who it's going to be.

We've no real way of knowing though do we, I remember his Tranmere sides played pretty decent football back when they made the cup final.
