PSP owners

Ok I bought a psp for my birthday in january. I love the bloody thing its awesome. Now heres the question although I have the option of playing "cracked" games on it I cant help but look at all the extras i'm mising out on on 2.6/2.7. Question is if I upgrade my jap 1.5 psp to the newest firmware, will I get all the features of a 2.6/2.7 Uk version? Also is it worth it?

 

I just sold a 2.6 to benzo-13 and I must admit I was victim of the green eyed monster.
