CarraLegend Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Just reading on a forum called "Soccerpulse" (You have to register) that it says in the Italian press they're trying to get him on loan for next season, probably assuming they go up, I dunno. Maybe there could be something in this Bonera/Mexes stuff? Then if all goes well we might get Paletta back for 2007/08 season and maybe Hyypia is gone by then, not sure its to hard to predict things like that I suppose.
The Hitman Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Please not Mexes. If ever there were a centre-half not suited to the Premiership,it's him.
Benitez Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 (edited) be a bit unusual for Rafa to send one of his players on loan, unless he has to like with Gonzalez! Woulda thought he'd want him here to get settled into English football and life in general. Edited April 27, 2006 by Benitez
c00p Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Paletta has a Italian passport so the permit should be no problem - if he does go on loan then its purely for the fact that he wont get much 1st team action next season.
Clay Davis Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Hope he does. I'm probably Mexes' biggest critic. Shocking defender.
Paisley Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Sounds a bad idea unless it's forced - has that ever worked? Diarra, Le Tallec, Pongolle etc. I'd rather have him over here learning about the Premiership and under the guidance of Rafa.
live Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Sounds a bad idea unless it's forced - has that ever worked? Diarra, Le Tallec, Pongolle etc. fowler soon perhaps owen
Clay Davis Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 fowler soon perhaps owen English clubs, which was his entire point.
PLY Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 (edited) If it's true , it would probably more to do with the fact that young South Americans often struggle to adapt to a European way of life , away from a large family unit. Helping him settle in a place where he could at least speak the language might soften the blow a bit. Edited April 27, 2006 by PLY
matty Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 I'd agree with that....catania / palermo matches......friendly affairs....obviously!! Right mate, could be loads of Sicilian derbies next season if Messina stay up. Hardly bears thinking about!
