Too bad! I had the pleasure of introducing the reading by Richmond Fontaine's Willy Vlautin who turned out to be a very likeable, down-to-earth fellow. His novel -The Motel Life- is pretty good too. The Arts Festival line-up won't be announced til June 9th. The festival runs from July 17-30. Website here There's also a parallel Artsfest this year, running at hte same time, organised by a group who felt the main festival was ignoring local talent. Their website is here

 

I'd heard about the parallel festival from a friend. It looks very interesting. I'm definitely going to try and get down to the main one though this year. I've not been to Galway in so long and it is one of my favourite places in the world. Have you heard any 'rumours' about the bill?
