Is he a Manc?

The subbie set him up for a fall there, billing it as an article about how Roman fleeced the Russian people. Instead it's just a rambling rant.

Crap article. Waaaay too much love for ManUre for it to be a decent article. And how is Abramovic depriving these poor Russians? He's a bloody good businessman, we'd all have done what he did to make it big. The hypocrisy of the writer is laughable, considering ManUre have factories stitching their shirts in the far east where the workers get paid a pittance.

He should have focussed on the fact that if Chelsea were a normal club, they'd have been f*cked like Leeds are now after spending so much. Instead he goes on about ManUre 'deserve' to be wealthy, and how they had earned the right to monopolise all the big transfer deals. Crap journalism.

But if its an article about how Chelsea's money is tainted then he should give us details of how exactly. It just looks like a random bitter rant.

Well said in your article here. http://football.guardian.co.uk/comment/sto...1761514,00.html

Next up can you turn your attention to these quotes about Liverpool and the Champions league as reported by the BBC last year:

And Wenger was adamant that if Everton finished fourth they should be allowed to compete in the Champions League and not be 'knocked out' by Liverpool.

"You cannot knock Everton out of it," he said.

"You could argue that four places in the Champions League is already quite a big share - and that if you are good enough to win the Champions League, you should be in the top four of your country.

He added: "If you call it the Champions League, basically you should only have the league champions there."

Wenger said the Champions League, which in the days of the European Cup was restricted to the holders and the continent's national champions alone, was becoming more of a lottery than a test of excellence.

Meanwhile Liverpool, despite being 33 points behind Chelsea in the league, now find themselves in the final of Europe's leading club football tournament.

"The championship has to be our absolute priority as you cannot make the Champions League as the priority," he insisted.

"The Champions League has now completely become a cup competition", added Wenger.

"Everybody can win it.

"It's like last year, when Millwall were in the FA Cup final. Next year, you could have Coventry."

I'm sure I can hear some the nodding of Spurs fans even from here up north

;)
