AE Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Do we have a sack Parry smilie yet? (it would save a lot of time)
Rushian Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 as revealed in the annual report a couple of months back.
AE Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 anyone who posts 'sack parry' should be banned. Anyone who follows your French football tips should be certified
Guest TanMan Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 (edited) Or, if you look at it another way, a mere £55k more than Freddie Shepherd Edited April 26, 2006 by TanMan
Stevie H Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Anyone who follows your French football tips should be certified hehe. we should sign frank ribery.
Guest Scot Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Not excessive for a CEO of such a large company
stressederic Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Guess what Rick Parry earned last year Kev's undying hatred and declaration of unholy vengeance?
johngibo YPC Posted April 26, 2006 Author Posted April 26, 2006 Not excessive for a CEO of such a large company the article suggests they all get alot more than companies with a similair turnover
Guest Anders Honoré Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 (edited) that's roughly 50K a month. we have players who earns twice as much a week. I don't see a problem with his wages at all. Edited April 26, 2006 by Anders Honoré
bazz Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Sure Traore is probably on more money than Parry and that in itself is a disgrace Parry deserves the money
Archangel Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 (edited) its not about money though, its about performance, Capturing Benitez if it was down to Parry was inspirational but other issues such as investment and the building of a new stadium seem to me to be on a very slow burn (lets not mention transfer dealings) Edited April 26, 2006 by Splint
treble2001 Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 He buys them, finds the funds for them, finds the manager to manage them, etc. I can think of quite a few players far more dispensible than our CEO.Finds the funds? out of his own pocket? Buys them? Surely thats Rafa? He decides things yes, but he can't score goals or prevent them so hes not as important as any player.

As for buying them, Parry takes the flack whenever we don't get anyone. He has kept the club in good financial health and made sure we can keep strengthening the team from year to year and only manU are better of financially than we are (excluding the ruskies). That is the contribution that allows to buy quality players and have a top manager. Way more important to the club than the likes of Traore, Carson and other fringe players.
Shanklyanfield Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 He probably had a big bonus in that as well after we won the Champo's League and he's on less than scudamore who is in Parry's old job at the Premier League!
M4TTA Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Do we have a sack Parry smilie yet? (it would save a lot of time)
stressederic Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 It also points out that this salary represents a drop of 12% on the previous year. Reimburse Parry?
fyds Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 its not about money though, its about performance, Capturing Benitez if it was down to Parry was inspirational but other issues such as investment and the building of a new stadium seem to me to be on a very slow burn (lets not mention transfer dealings) Too right - what was he thinking in arranging to sign Alonso, Garcia, Reina, Sissoko, Crouch, Zenden, Kromkamp, Morientes, Agger, Carson, Gonzales, Paletta and all those kids Rafa insisted on... He probably had a big bonus in that as well after we won the Champo's League and he's on less than scudamore who is in Parry's old job at the Premier League!True, but Richard Sucamore does suffer from being a Bristol City fan and having to have monthly meetings with John Barnwell and Gordon Taylor!
