Ballack - When ES announced this as done many thought there would not be enough room in midfield to accomodate him, Essien, fat Frank and Makelele. Well there is now under Saturdays line up.

 

Also explains the rumoured departure of Duff to Newcastle and the possibility of Robben being let go. I.E, less need for so many wide men.

 

What I'm getting at is that rather than Maureen tinkering in order to look clever and getting it totally wrong, he may actually be choosing to get his current players used to this formation now, seeing as the league is all but wrapped up. Although it was still arrogant of him to play that way in a cup semi.

 

Either way I'm not that fussed as I am more worried about what we do to in the Summer tansfer market to make the final step up to realistic title challengers, but just thought I would share my thoughts...
