Looked at a few items while out browsing yesterday and was left less than impressed by the one-dimensional standard of the writing.

I appreciate simple children's verse using easy rhyming patterns (aabb or abab etc...), but this was just aaaaaaaaa... all the way through. And, where the rhyme didn't work out, the words were clipped. An example or two will demonstrate:

"I have a big car

it's in my backyar"

And elsewhere lots and lots of

"You know what, huh?

I don't give a fuh

I don't give a fuh"

he's your bother

not my brother

I don't give a fuh..."

I was obviously born into a different century.
