CarraLegend Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 http://today.reuters.co.uk/news/newsarticl...STS.XML&src=rss ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, April 23 (Reuters) - Rotterdam police arrested around 250 Feyenoord fans during and after their side's Dutch league playoff defeat by Ajax Amsterdam on Sunday. "All arrests were made for violence, vandalism and disregarding regulations and police orders," police spokesman Ger de Jong told Reuters. "Feyenoord fans left the stadium and caused problems outside. We made clear that we won't tolerate this behaviour in Rotterdam." Feyenoord were beaten 4-2 in the second leg of the playoff and 7-2 on aggregate as Ajax progressed to the final. Last season Feyenoord hooligans wounded several police officers after the home match against Ajax, leading to 43 direct arrests and more than 100 later on. In February a group of 70 Ajax fans attacked an ADO Den Haag fan base two days before a first division match between the two teams and stabbed two ADO fans. SSN saying 425 so there might of been more arrests since this article, they certainly don't take to kindly to losing do they? They've probably had more nicked this season than teams like Bolton, Blackburn, Boro and Charlton take away in a whole season.
CarraLegend Posted April 23, 2006 Author Posted April 23, 2006 Ah,but were they singing Shipman songs? Yep, the Dutch version
Michael Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 UEFA will blame England for it and issue us with a warning about the behaviour of our fans in Germany.
fyds Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 The wife's uncle was on the phone home talking about this - the real figure for arrests is closer to 500 - 437 I think he said at the last count.
Serko Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 More importantly, now that Feyenoord aren't in the CL next season, we have a good chance of getting kuyt.
