Guest hagis Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 Gerrard had something thrown at him when he was lining up for a corner in the first half.
muleskinner Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 Someone threw a bottle of Budweiser on the pitch in the 2nd half, just where Makalele had been standing.
Rua Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 Someone threw a bottle of Budweiser on the pitch in the 2nd half, just where Makalele had been standing. When they showed it live I assumed it was thrown by a chav, it was closer to hitting Riise. Of course the only angle you're gonna see it from is the one which makes it look as though it whistled by Gallas' (or whichever classless chav mercenary's) head. Also, you know that it wasn't remotely close to hitting a chav because they didn't react as though they were hit by the truck that delivered the fake beer to the offy. Two final points, I am not condoning the throwing of the 'object', whoever you are, if you can read this, you are a t***. Secondly, it looked like it was a lighter that was thrown at Gerrard when he took a corner at their end in the first half

smithdown Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 I think they should close OT for a season after all that. Ban 'em I say!

And there's no way anyone could defend the graffiti or damage done by utter mongs following us by saying 'well the Mancs would have done the same at Anfield'. That's supposition at best, and very ignorant at worst.
Guest Kev Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 anyone who thought that Old Trafford would come away unscathed is not living in the real world. We can talk about it all week, it will be major news on Monday then forgotten about on Tuesday.

And it cranks up the dial for the next game again. I heard about it from someone on the coach afterwards. Its sick, just as their stuff about Hillsborough / Shields is. Stewards I met there there were absolutely fine, even offered to help me with my banner.

The stewards and police that I encountred were all spot on, as I would expect them to be. The writing of 5 times was to be expected by the minority, however what cannot be defended or excused is the Munich / Shipman / Best references or the moronic vandalism which will no doubts be billed to LFC. That just notches it up another level for when they come to Anfield next year, and it'll keep on going on. Neither side has any grounds of moral complaint though, despite the majority being fine.

Must be some come back as the tickets obvoiusly match seat numbers and people? would Man U not report the seat numbers to the bizzies or LFC. My seat was damaged by some little tw*t behind me who got a clip for his trouble and several others around me were obliterated. All in the East Stand. Don't mind the odd sticker here and there but for f*cks sake. You know what the say - what goes around comes around.
Guest Sabre Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 Let's not forget that the Mancs would look after Anfield like it was their own if they ever played a semi-final there. What a reason.
Stigger Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 Total nobhead who threw the beer bottle, but Gerrard definately had a lighter thrown at him in the first half when taking a corner. Here's a pic of the bogs at OT too:
Lee W Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 No excuse for stuff like that, especially the Munch graffiti ffs. This has all got far worse again since f'ckin Neville's antics.
CarraLegend Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 This has all got far worse again since f'ckin Neville's antics. It hasnt, it's just been in the media more (Well, any stuff our fans do is anyway, theres never any mention of what we have to face when we leave OT each season)

The Munich stuff is bang out of order (as is the 'Murderers'/Hillsborough sh*t).

I understand Man Utd ordered a few thousand extra seats to replace expected broken ones. don't know if they are paid for by the club whose fans were in that area, the FA themselves or even Man United. I wouldn't worry about your seat as unless they can prove that your damaged it (which is obviously not the case), then they have no grounds to pursue any action.
Herbie von Smalls Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 (edited) i find all the vandalism distasteful, though not wholly unexpected. i'm just wondering whether it'll be us (LFC) held responsible for those fans' behaviour. surely the stewards bear responsibility for allowing a beer bottle into the stands. seems pretty remiss not to have some kind of security staff presence in the bogs to prevent the toilets and sinks being destroyed. Guest Scot Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 Let's not forget that the Mancs would look after Anfield like it was their own if they ever played a semi-final there. Oh well if they'd behave like hooligan cn*ts then we've every right, no?
Guest Kev Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 Oh well if they'd behave like hooligan cn*ts then we've every right, no? There will always be 'stuff' going on between us and the Mancs, it's been going on since the 60's and no amount of posting on a forum will do anything to stop it. Did Liverpool receive an apology for the damage their fans did in the Cup game ?

Difference I think between you and me is you enjoy 'the stuff'.
