Escargot Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Singing was excellent. Watched it Canal+ and couldn't hear the blues*** at all.

The Invisible Man Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 I'm surprised nobody has said yet it but the crowd today were really Liverpool's twelth man - again. They were phenomenal especially in the first half. Chelsea looked terrified for the first hour. They sang and sang and sang their hearts out for the lads. Alright, so everybody had had a few bevvies but well done everyone who was there. And at the end it was like a rock concert as everyone sang and danced and refused to go home. Well done the tannoy man for playing those Liverpool songs at the end. Love the waving of the scarves around the head, that's here to stay. And did you notice that the entire Liverpool half of the ground stood throughout the game while the Chelsea half were all sitting. Now that's support for you. We really were the twleth man and I think it made the difference.
Guest Jack Bauer Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Someone lobbed a drink after Crouchy was fouled in the corner, but that was it. Chelsea c**** threw loads. Forgot, by the coaches some s*** house was walking past and throw pennies, a group of scousers saw him and started to chase him. Hope he got the s*** beat out of him.
Guest Jack Bauer Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 me head felt like it was gonna explode when everyone was whistling for time at the end.
John am Rhein Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Did anyone hear if the plan to scrawl "5 times" in permanent marker all over the seats in their Theatre of Sh*te came to fruition?

Guest Jack Bauer Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Some lad was walkin round hanging out rolls of stickers to stick on the seats around us. It had "5 TIMES LIVERPOOL FC" on it or something. Few FREE MICHAEL SHIELDS things around as well. Few seats got smashed around by me as well.

Guest Jack Bauer Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 it could have been that song f*** OFF CHELSEA FC YOU AINT GOT NO HISTORY
fred milne Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 It was noticeable that we were subjected to Chelsea's anthem before the game but YNWA was not aired. I guess we have our Mancunian hosts to thank for that.

Mind you, our fans sang it just before KO anyway and it was played over the tannoy at the end of the game, followed by La Bamba

Armin_Tamzarian Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 As said previously YNWA was played immediately before Blue is the Colour. I must say BITC did seem as if it were being played louder, but then we were well ino YNWA before the record started, and we'd not stopped singing anyway, was really deafening in East stand upper. Fair play to the OT announcer. At the end they played Rocking all over the World, YNWA, La Bamba, Sloop John and more. Was a brilliant experience to be partying there.
