forgot that was on today!

I think I want the Arssssssssenal to win and I think they will. Although I do think it'd be funny if Spuds ended up 4th, their highest league position in goodness knows how long, first chance to get into the CL, and then ended up in the WAFFA Cup anyway.

Why would you want Arsenal to win?

Arsenal missing out of the CL next year would be a massive blow to them financially and would probably remove them as an immediate threat to us for the next year or so.

cos I can't stand Spurs maybe?

And it certainly wouldn't remove Arsenal as a threat.

And they have a hell of a good chance on being in the CL next year anyway, wherever they finish.

no it wouldn't.

Hardly a convicing argument, but I'll respond anyway...

Henry will definitely go with no CL football, if he has not decided to go anyway, they will struggle to replace him both in terms of pull and finance. Considering how we are already ahead of them as it is, and with further progress under Rafa expected in the summer, I fail to see how they would close the gap on us under these circumstance.

they've got a young team 90% ready and maturing fast as can be seen by their improvent as the season has progressed.

'henry will definitely go...'

you his agent?

1. Fair enough, but I've never found spurs that offensive myself.

2. True, but the only chance they have of not getting CL football involves them finishing lower than 5th.

3. See above, they are already playing catch up with us, no Henry and less money would make it very difficult.

Come on, he's making the same noises as Gerrard last season, and he hasn't the hometown lure and the array of arsenal supporting family and friends to make him change his mind. If he was staying, he'd have said by now, there is no reason not too. The only way I can see arsenal convincing him to stay would involve CL football next year. You don't need inside knowledge to deduce that.

And yes, they have a good young team, but they are not the same without Henry, at Anfield he was their only threat and we all saw what happened why they dropped him against scum.

I dont think they are playing catch up with us tho. OK, yes league position wise this year! But hey, our position last year was thought to be a 'false' one by many. I think that with Arsenal.

I think Wenger took too many risks with his squad this season, putting way too much pressure on players like Senderos, Fabregas, Reyes and Van Persil. And commiting pretty much all his ample transfer budget on luxury and youth. And it backfired quite badly for the first half of the season. Losing the likes of Campbell and Cole didn't help either.

But they have been playing very well recently, and next season, a fair few very good players they have will be a year older and a year wiser. And I doubt they will be as poor again in the league next season as they where this. And maybe this Summer, Wenger will address the first team squad a bit more, and get the balance of his signings right this time.

Heh, I mockered Arsenal, see what I did there? ;)

And fec sportsmanship, why should Spuds have stopped then?

The two Arsenal players fecin injured themselves the dozy twunts :D

1-0 Spurs.

a*** complaining because they had a player down injured and spurs should have kicked it out. Said player seem OK now though and is playing on.

Jol and Wenger shouting nose to nose on the touchline.

I think it was classless of Spurs - not really surprising, but I think most teams would have put the ball out of play.

b****x to that - 2 a*** players ran into each other, play continued. How was Davids supposed to know that players behind him were injured? No reason he should have kicked it out.

As we saw at Blackburn last week - PLAY TO THE WHISTLE

Lehman could have gone then. Fair play for Davids for not rolling around like he was a chav.

Well not really fair play, it is the least you expect really, but you know what chelski would have done.

I serioulsy dont see what the fuss is? How can you tell if a player is injured these days, so many of them cheat.

And especially as it had fec all to do with a Spuds player!

Nah, players cry wolf too often these days by staying down when they are OK. Neither player was injured, I know a*** have no subs left, but they aren't exactly struggling. In fact I'm not sure either player even received treatment.

He wasn't to know at the time, but retrospectively Davids was proven correct (if he actually saw them in the first place)

Now that was classless by the a***. Most teams would have let it go back to the keeper.
