Fatdogmendoza Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Our players on loan elsewhere don´t seem to be setting the world alight although they are playing at lesser teams than Liverpool Carl Medjani, 21. Has got 16 games at Metz. Metz are soon to be relegated Zak Whitbread, 22. Has got 23 games at Millwall. Millwall lie bottom in the english championship. Anthony Le Tallec, 22. 10 games and 2 goals with Sunderland who lie bottom. Does not seem to get a game recently for them. Darren Potter, 22. 8 games with Southampton. Southampton are currently mid table. Florent Sinama, 22. 7 games and 1 goal for Blackburn. Blackburn are in the top half. Was not in the squad vs Birmingham. Neil Mellor, 24. 3 games and 1 goal for Wigan. Wigan are ca mid table. Has not been in the squad recently. Scott Carson, 21. 7 games with Sheff. Wed who are the fourth team from the bottom. Salif Diao, 29. 10 games with Portsmouth. Portsmouth are fighting relegation. Big Salif is not getting a game recently. David Raven, 21. playing with Tranmere in league one. Bruno Cheyrou, 28. 21 game and 1 goal. Playing with second place Bordeaux. Of these who do you think will remain at the club for next season?? One additional striker plus Fowler seems to end the carreer of Mellor, Pongolle and Tallec. Palletta and Agger surely are in front of Whitbread and Medjani in the pecking order and Potter has not a chance me thinks. On a different note, has there ever been a player that came back from a loan and was a success??
hideNseek Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Fowler was on loan for years and is doing pretty good.
The Hitman Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 (edited) They're all s****,that's why. EDIT: with the possible exception of Carson. Edited April 19, 2006 by Pretty Boy
Fatdogmendoza Posted April 19, 2006 Author Posted April 19, 2006 So how much will we get if we offload the bunch?? Cheyrou, Tallec, Pongolle should be worth a pack of gum at least. Diao will leave for free. What a waste those Seneagalese c*nts, cost us 15 mill! Potter, Medjani and Whitbread will surely leave for nothing and given that Carson and Raven will stay, although Raven´s future isn´t that bright. That leaves us with Mellor..
Atticus Finch Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 On a different note, has there ever been a player that came back from a loan and was a success?? Danny Murphy
Guest AdamS Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I think Ravo could do a job in the premier league for a lesser club.
The Hitman Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I think Ravo could do a job in the premier league for a lesser club.No chance, from what I've seen he's been distinctly average. Had one ok game against Spurs (was it?) and people thought he was a world beater. Championship player at best.
stressederic Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 (edited) Pongolle will end up at one of the promoted clubs next season. On a different note, has there ever been a player that came back from a loan and was a success?? Diarra Edited April 19, 2006 by stressederic
Fatdogmendoza Posted April 19, 2006 Author Posted April 19, 2006 Pongolle will end up at one of the promoted clubs next season.Diarra But he never came back to us did he??

stressederic Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 But he never came back to us did he?? No, sorry, should have included a smiley
Guest Jack Bauer Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Michael Owen. Been injured for most of the season though.
Fatdogmendoza Posted April 19, 2006 Author Posted April 19, 2006 So we can add Rushie and Staunton then...?
koppper Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Would it be worth getting rid of the lot of them for nothing, just to get them off our wage bill? Carson should stay and possibly we will get something for Cheyrou and Cinema Popcorn, but the rest must be worth getting rid, just to get them off our payroll permanently. Hopefully we aren't paying much of their salaries while they are out on loan, but you never know.
treble2001 Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 They were both Senegalese, and both fleeced us out of £15m. Can't see any of those mentioned above coming back, maybe exception of Carson.
Maldini Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Cheyrou's deal is up this summer, he'll be off either way. We'll get a few million for Traore and FSP, maybe a million for ALT, maybe a million for Kirkland too. The others will probably be frees or nominal fees.
Guest AdamS Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 No chance, from what I've seen he's been distinctly average. Had one ok game against Spurs (was it?) and people thought he was a world beater. Championship player at best.He never played too well for the first team, but he was generally lumped in with Whitbread and Traore or some other totally unstable back four. I've seen quite a bit of him and I think he is a steady player.
Maldini Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 He's only played 2 or 3 times for the first team hasn't he?
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Carson only recently went on loan & has been playing well - helped keep those cnts in the C/ship. Much to Crewe's displeasure

On a different note, has there ever been a player that came back from a loan and was a success?? Theres a reason a lot of these guys are on loan - they ain't good enough. It'll be interesting to see what Rafa does regards loaning players once he's got rid of all the stragglers from the GH era. Cos right now, apart from Gonzalez and Carson, I think he'd be more than happy to offload the rest of the loaned players. And a lot of them, will go for pennies or on freebies I suspect. Seems Rafa wants to have his players at Melwood, where they can learn his style of football and tactics from a young age - like the reserves this season, far younger than before, and I recall him saying he wanted the reserevs to be playing a similar style and tactics to the first team.
Stevie H Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 my saints fan mate at the weekend said "can you please take potter back? go on, we'll even throw in ricardo fuller for free".
Guest AnfieldGrass Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Only expect Carson and possibly Whitbread to have a future at Liverpool.
