Guest The Defender Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N...060419-0855.htm For me its gotta be either Momo.. Crouch or sami....
Reggie Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Momo. He's had a blindin first season. Excuse the pun.
Falconhoof Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Carragher has been outstanding almost every game. Reina in with a shout.
floyd Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 (edited) They have all done brilliant this season. But anyone who doesn't think Gerrard has been our player of the season is deluded (in a nice way though) Edited April 19, 2006 by floyd

John Nada Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I voted for Hyppia. He's been almost perfect this season, I think I can count 2 bad games he's had. Gerrard's gone missing too often in games this season for me, when 'on' though he's still our best player of course.
Sion Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I voted for Hyppia. He's been almost perfect this season, I think I can count 2 bad games he's had. Gerrard's gone missing too often in games this season for me, when 'on' though he's still our best player of course. I can recall Drogba owning him when we played the chavs. He's still a rock though.
Woodsyla Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 If this is the best Liverpool player then it has to be Gerrard, he is a class above. If it's best performer based on their respective abilities then any one of Carra, Sami, Finnan, Pepe and Xabi must be in with a shout. Gerrard is the best player we have by a country mile, the only players in the country who I would rate as on a par with him in their respective positions are Rooney and Henry.
Guz Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Xabi has had a relatively poor season for me. He looked off the pace for the middle part of the season although has picked up more recently. I'd say any one of Carragher, Finnan, Hyypia or Gerrard
Cunny Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 it's great that we have a number of candidates for this and that Gerrard or Carra are not the no brainer choices for a change! Hyypia for me - he's been magnificent this season Reina, Finnan, Carra, Riise, Gerrard, Alonso, Sissoko have all had excellent seasons
Dan Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Gerrard's gone missing too often in games this season for me ??? Please expand
Jeff guitar Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 With a few games still to go i think it's still debatable which is a great thing. Match winning performances in the Semi AND Final could help someone get my vote but at the moment i'd say Carragher has been most important for us this season.
Elisha_Scott Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Gerrard's gone missing too often in games this season for me, when 'on' though he's still our best player of course. Good grief!
Guest 7777 Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Gerrard all day long, he hasn't had to drag us through games as much this season but he has excelled in the captaincy on and off the pitch We are lucky to have him 19 goals from midfield, led us to a Super cup win, Q finals of the CL, runners up in the World Club Championship Would walk into any side in the world SissokoFinnan Reina Close runners up
floyd Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 led us to a Super cup win Don't take away Carra's (embarssing) moment in the spotlight
Leo No.8 Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Good grief! You're in trouble now John - Elisha will tell on you to Stevie...
JayKay Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Has to be Gerrard Finnan, Carra, Hyypia and Reina have been excellent as well.
Guest Anders Honoré Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Gerrard any day of the week. Finnan deserves a special mention for being such an influential performer from his position but as far as being the most important contributor to our success this season it is easily gerrard: our driving creative force, we play well when he plays well and he is our topscorer from midfield. momo has been impressive but not in the same league.
John Nada Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I can recall Drogba owning him when we played the chavs. He's still a rock though. hence the "2 bad games" I mentioned. Plus, from what I can remember he'd had flu just before that game.
