If anyone hasn'r got one yet and is thinking about it, Having had the nice young owner of my local IT shop let me test drive a few, I would strongly recommend the ZOOM 5590 x6 - it's fecking brilliant and so much better than any other I tried. I can get a great signal anywhere in the house or up to 100m into the garden, which when you consider my house is a large old mess with mainly flint and Limestone (no bricks) walls up to 3 feet thick on the ground floor is pretty stunning.

 

Currently we have three desktops physically ired into it, and are running a further two laptops off it on a wireless basis - no depreciation in signal even when all are switched on and working.

 

The modem costs £86.00 - though you may find it cheaper at a bigger store.
