fyds Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Will summarily be docked 3 points for a first offence. This will be increased exponentially should a repeat offence occur. I predict within 3 years Millwall be relegated to the Barking & Romford under 10's Sunday Christian Gay children's league.
Ronnie Whelan Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Evertonians in Anny Road singing their famous songs for an early round league cup tie to get us kicked out? Could happen. Very good point. Would be very difficult to properly police.
fyds Posted April 18, 2006 Author Posted April 18, 2006 Never happen. Clubs will appeal and get the points back.Appeal to whom, though Kev? If it's enshrined in the laws - nothing they can do.
Cobs Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Evertonians in Anny Road singing their famous songs for an early round league cup tie to get us kicked out? Could happen.nah, they'd be locals - they'd never be able to get a ticket

Kindred Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Guess it will come down whats considered racist, whats considered to be a 'chant' and as to how many fans it takes for it to become 'fans' i.e. will one fan shouting 'you french t**t' be considered a racist chant by fans?
Paul B Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Guess it will come down whats considered racist, whats considered to be a 'chant' and as to how many fans it takes for it to become 'fans' i.e. will one fan shouting 'you french t**t' be considered a racist chant by fans? Or will someone shouting "You Scouse bin-dipper" be considered racist? Same difference. "French" isn't a race in the same way "Scouse" isn't so why do people assume it's a laugh to shout it at Scousers but it's oh so different when a country, rather than a district is used as a prefix?
oojason Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Given the low percentage of tickets actually given to the fans of the 2 sides competing in the World Cup, it should be intersting to see what FIFA does if/when racist chanting emerges from the large neutral/vip sections...
aka Dus Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Does this mean they are already -3 points in the group stages? Ukraine boss Oleg Blokhin: "The more Ukranians who play in the national league, the more examples for the young generation. "Let them learn from a Shevchenko or a Blokhin and not from some Zumba-Bumba whom they took off a tree, gave him two bananas and now he plays in the Ukrainian league."

Coyler Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 "They don't like the Irish," says the Irishman, quietly. ... Sure enough, the Irishman is proved right. He gives us a look as we hear, "No surrender . . . [expletive deleted] the Pope and the IRA."The Pope's Irish? Class! My mam will be delighted. Everybody Irish is in the IRA? Class! My dead grandad would be delighted.
wacko Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Or will someone shouting "You Scouse bin-dipper" be considered racist? Same difference. "French" isn't a race in the same way "Scouse" isn't so why do people assume it's a laugh to shout it at Scousers but it's oh so different when a country, rather than a district is used as a prefix?Apparently it is. Not sure why. I get called an island-ape all the time (the German slang for the English, a la Jerry etc.) and loads of opposition fans throw bananas at Oliver Kahn. Of course, these would both be bang out of order if we were black...

pipnasty Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 (edited) Racist chants - I'm waiting for somebody to say that this is reality, there is nothing that anybody can do to stop it and that the nouveau supporters will just have to get used to it. Or am I confusing this with songs mocking the dead? I'm quite happy for clubs to have points deducted for racist chants - I'm also quite happy for clubs to be deducted 3 points for singing songs about Hillsborough and Munich too. Let's see how long the chants last then. Different thread, I know, but let's be consistent about this. Edited April 29, 2006 by Pipnasty
