Hate this time of year.

 

Yes I know we still have a chance to do something about Chelsea,

 

and there is the possibility of silverware,

 

but I am getting that end of season feeling that tells me that very very soon there won't be any more games.

 

As for the WC? It will do the same as cricket during the summer, just take the edge off my hunger.

I had this dicsussion with my mate yesterday. We have one more home game left, the season has gone quicker than normal I swear. I remember the journey back from Boro as if it were yesterday. In fact, the Wrexham game pre-season seems only a couple of months ago.

At least it is world cup year, thats my only consolation, oh, and all the endless players we will be linked with brightens my days

Mind you...

 

The WC did get me through some exam years back in the distant past. I can remember well sitting infront of telly with books on lap watching wall-to-wall soccer. The last one in Germany was rather useful in this respect.

The close season seems to pass quicker these days too.

 

If Spain meet England in the final then it'll be exactly a year since the season started for some of our lads.
