Just been to Chester Zoo - a couple of observations

1) Great day out and plenty to see, you can walk the legs off your kids and they still won't have time to see everything. This time of year the animals really put on a show. Orang Utans out play fighting and rolling on the grass with the new babies. Great time of the year to go this.

 

2) Chav families....can you just manage for a couple of hours not to walk around swigging from a can of Stella while your Mrs in her pink velour tracksuit bellows for little Britney to 'get here now before I batter you!'

 

3) They make a fortune on the extras so its advisable to take sandwiches and drinks and stuff. I'd say take a 'picnic' but i'd get people posting pictures of hampers in the back of 4x4s and Pimms drinkers. The baloons are £4 each, I might go with a load of foil balloon animals and make a fortune one day. We bought a Diplodocus which was the best balloon by a mile.
