Shevchenko, but if he joins Chelsea, he'll be officially shyte.

Henry doesn't perform enough in away games. His goal last night, was about his 7th goal scored away from home, from his last 40 odd golas scored. Plus he starting all that fvckin arrogant crap, like "why do you dare to foul me" again

Both exceptional players but I think Henry edges it as the better player. I think Shevchenko is an absolutely fantastic forward - but he is probably less capable of the unexpected piece of brilliance than Henry.

At the moment I think Henry is only behind Ronaldinho when it comes to being the best player on the planet - although Henry is arguably more efficiently effective.

Wonder if Henry will still behave in such a smug, precious way if he goes to a bigger team in the Catalan region.

His goal last nite was sublime, but some of his sulky behaviour was embarrassing.

Having an argument with a bunch of people on another site. I reckon Sheva's the better striker, the others reckon it's Henry.

Thought I'd come to a site where knowledgeable people inhibit to ask this question. ;)

Who is it?

You do realise Henry is the best player in the world?

Henry's got much more of an overall influence on a game, even if he isn't scoring and he's fairly prolific. Shevchanko needs goals and he'd not have nearly as many assists, I'd imagine.

there might be an argument that without wenger henry hasn't quite proved that he can be the same player, whereas shevchenko has performed at pretty much the same levels of dominance wherever and with whoever he's been.

Henry.

Agreed. Both different types of forwards, but I think Henry has an aura about him that only Ronaldinho has at the moment.

They seem to play at their own speed and direct play more often than not. Players like this often occupy 2 defenders and cause panic just by being on the ball.

Shevchenko is a wonderful striker and a constant goal threat, but for me, not up there with the above two, despite being world-class

Both are phenomenal players and I'd see both fit in the same team. Henry is a more technical player but Scheva is as deadly as they come. An interesting fact I think is that Henry has never until now made a big impact on the European and World stage like Schevchenko. Yes he has won the European Nations Cup and World Cup but he was not a leading man in both teams. It is the first time he is in the latter stages of the Champs Lge so we will see whether this will now all change. Scheva on the other hand has been consistent on the European stage at club level, scoring important goals in very big games.
