AE Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 No Sissoko in young player.FFS. So it will be Terry and Fabregas then.

fred milne Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Admittedly, I haven't been watching too closely but I didn't think Ronaldo's form had been all that this season.

JohnnyH Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 How the hell is Lampard in there? He's been very poor this season. Rooney also went 12 games without scoring (i.e. one third of the season) and was rubbish in those twelve game. You kind of get the feeling that if Lampard, Gerrard, Terry and Rooney all joined Barca in the summer, they would still be voted in the Premiership players of the year anyway.
Ombudsam Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Ronaldo was shyte for ages. Can't really argue with the other names on that young player's list individually (actually maybe fabregas) who but Momo should have been there. No carra!?! If you want.

I've been really impressed by him this season. I think names like Keane this season and Cahill last season can feel legitimate grievance at not making these lists. They're chosen a bit lazily. matty said: London club, keep up. It's the players who vote for this not the journos

Leo No.8 Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 (edited) Lennon being in the list ahead of Sissoko for young player is absolutely outrageous. I could make bloody good case for him having been more influential than everyone on that young player list apart from Rooney and Ronaldo being honest, but Lennon is the one which stands out as being downright unfair. What a load of schite. Edited April 12, 2006 by Leo No.8

What a load of schite. Lennon has only started 17 games aswell, he's a good prospect like but theres been plenty of games where he's done f*** all all match but run down blind alleys. It is odd he's in there instead of Momo.
Gilps Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 It's the players' opinions. Footballers are thick. They've still got it mostly right with those shortlists though.

Ombudsam Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 There are three chelsea players in there which will mean that their vote will be split. Gerrard will win it.

Guest Anders Honoré Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 only thing wrong with that shortlist is Ronaldo being in there instead of momo. It will be a race between Gerrard and Rooney, I reckon. Rooney will obviously win the young player's award.
