Guest PaulMcC Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 When do people find out if they have got tickets for this in the ballot?

Tetti Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 So beware woman with chainsaw... Even if she has been lent a ( something) for Thursday's ticket scramble (that won't be available to her if we get to Cardiff)
realtarragona Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Sunday 23rd. Didn't bother to send me the application letter out so wouldn't surprise me.
kop205 Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Didn't bother to send me the application letter out so wouldn't surprise me. Some of us didn't even get the letter, despite meeting the criteria. Don't understand why fancard holders with two credits get the same priority as season ticket holders with two credits, but fan card holders with one credit are behind season ticket holders with one credit. I thought their policy now was to go strictly on games attended rather than giving automatic preference to season ticket holders (though I know that was a policy not everyone agreed with). I know there aren't enough tickets for everyone with one credit (once you've already sold to those with two or more) so I suppose the club just didn't want a situation where the numbers in the queue exceeded the numbers of tickets available i.e. in other words they couldnlt be arsed paying for proper stewarding (and possibly policing) of the queue. Maybe the fact that it is the Easter holidays for the schools has been a factor as that would boost numbers, but their general attitude to stewarding the queue seems to be pretty shoddy. Due to my work, it is sometimes my retired Mum who goes up for my ticket and when she has challenged scally knobheads for jumping in she has been givenn torrents of abuse, with no stewards around to intervene. She made a complaint to Rick Parry, who wrote back and said that because she was getting there before opening hours and the incident happened outside of the Paisley gates and therefore not on club property, the club had no duty to guard against this kind of stuff. t***. If it had been a straight sale to all those with one credit I'd have got to the ground whatever time it took and waited in line for as long as necessary, and if I'd not got one then fair enough. This has pissed me of though - though it is probably the s**** way that they organised the ballot (i.e. not even sending letters out to some) that annoys me more tha the principle itself of a ballot.
Barnesy_10 Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 I didn't get a letter either, despite having got a ticket for the Man Utd game... maybe they based it on when the ticket for the game was bought, as I got mine off the late ticket line 2 hours before kick off I have one Man U game on my season ticket too so hopefully I will get at least one..... I can see my going to Manchester all on my ownself better than not going I guess
Billy Dane Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Anyone got a seating plan for Old Toilet? It was on here last week but can't find it now.

I thought their policy now was to go strictly on games attended rather than giving automatic preference to season ticket holders (though I know that was a policy not everyone agreed with). Season ticket holders get the right to go to every home first round game of every tournament, extending that logic a season ticket holder who attends a first round game at home should be entitled to a second round ticket at home. In this case there has only been 1 hoem game therefore AFTER those who went to two games it makes sense to guarantee season ticket holders a seat next IF they attended the one home game.
realtarragona Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Some of us didn't even get the letter, despite meeting the criteria. Yes, me being one of them. Anyway luckily enough someone had a pdf copy on RAWK so just printed that out and sent it off.
psl Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Anyone know when the ballot is? Is it actually on Thursday?
Woodsyla Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Anyone know when the ballot is? Is it actually on Thursday? It can't be tomorrow as the tickets are on sale to ST holders tomorrow and Friday. I'd guess the ballot will be done Tuesday as it's the service Saturday.

Barnesy_10 Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 is everyone tring to get a spec in roughly the same place so everyone is kinda near each other? or are people not thinking like that and are taking anywhere? Just wondered which block I should go for tomorrow.. I don't wanna be right up in the dizzy heights...
Joshytoohotty Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 (edited) Some of us didn't even get the letter, despite meeting the criteria. The reason they've done it is because there's only between 5000 and 8000 people with away credits full stop, and the vast majoroty are season ticket holders. Staggering the sales between fancard holders and seasies with the same number of credits would be totally pointless and would just waste time. For example today, I rolled out of bed and bought my ticket about 10 to 10 and got through first time, got exactly the seat I wanted with no hassle, if it's that easy to get sorted then what's the point in staggering the sales? Different story with the 1 credit sale where you have 20,000 plus all wanting tickets, common sense is to seperate into seasies and fancards. The system is based on games attended and thankfully a fancard with 2 credits will always get priority over a seasie with one which is the way it should be. But when a fancard and a seasie have the same credits then the seasie gets the priority, that has always been the case and more than likely always will be, they do stump out 500 quid at the start of every season and whilst I'd love to be able to do that for a seasie they still deserve preference in them situations. Yeah, fair enough (as I've already said!). It is more the s**** way that the ballot has been organised that has pissed me off (letters not being sent etc). I got a copy of a form and hand delivered it yesterday, so will have to wait and see.
