When he kicks he does that funny side swipe which makes the ball travel quite low, yet when he catches it right it it still lands near edge of their box, so that is a possibilty, espaecially if he kicked it normally.

Though knowing Reina, he will race out of his goal, chest down the ball, bomb down the right channel and fire it in from the edge of the box.
