I have read dozens, if not hundreds of comments on here relating to OOT's and the general immense hatred of anyone with a ticket who doesn't live in an L postcode.

I would like to know where I stand really. I was born in Liverpool, moved to North Wales when 2/3, had a season ticket in the paddock with my grandad for nigh on 12 years until I went to uni (at John Moores Uni) - but now live in North Yorkshire and can only get to matches when i can get a ticket.

I have watched the reds home and away whenever I possibly can, will defend them to the hilt, love the club and everything we stand for.

I tend to feel a little agrieved when being branded as an OOT'er.

Am I...??

I was under the impression that there's only one person here with a rather unhealthy obsession about dissing OOTers at any given opportunity ;)

You shouldn't feel agrieved about anything.

We despise OOTers at this club, at West Brom we battered a load after the game, putting a few in hospital, this is becoming a regular thing at aways especially now. Heard theres a massive demo planned for Blackburn away at keeping the OOTers away from the club.

I think this topic is a RAWK obsession rather than on here. Of late, nearly every other thread on that forum ( slight exaggeration  ) deteriorates into a "hilarious" "spoof" attack on OOters.

I assume that is a piss take?

Can't say I have a big problem with OOTers in general. You get some who behave like w*****s, but then you get some scousers who behave like w*****s at the game too and are just as clueless as the worst OOTer.

Take each fan on merit. I guess we all have a vague idea of what it means for the club to be 'in your heart', even though it is a hard concept to precisely define. You certainly don't need to be from the city for that to be true about you, so it shouldnlt really be a massive debate.

This issue normally rears its head with regard to tickets as there has (justifiably) been anger in the past when loyalty hasn't been rewarded and day trippers have been able to suddenly get their hands on tickets for big matches at the expense of regulars. To blame that solely on OOTers isn't accurate though - I know plenty of scousers who I would class as day trippers and a good few OOTers who go week in week out.

If you've kept your Scouse accent then you cannot be classed as an OOT'r. However if you talk like Jon Hall or Sutty then you are despised as they are as scouse as Margaret Thatcher.

I don't know which is worse.

Being told I sound like Margaret Thatcher.

Or being told I sound like Jon Hall.

Scratch that, it's being told I sound like Jon Hall.

Anyway, I have a scouse lilt which the ladies find sexy and the fellas intimidating. Probably.

Kev would have another scar on his head if he had.

(I'd hit him with a big stick round the back of the head and then run away)
