Leon Osman has seen two of his goals chalked off by the FA's "Dubious goals" committee, while Liverpool's Peter Crouch's first "goal" for Liverpool still stands.

Leon's goals against Wigan and Portsmouth have been given as own goals, which has understandably upset the young midfielder, who said, "I am very upset to say the least. I felt I scored them both."

"People immediately gave the Wigan one to Thompson, but as he slid in he propelled my foot to kick the ball and that is how it went in the net, so I am a bit disappointed.

"I think at first people assume it was an own goal, but if you look back at it you can clearly see that it was my goal. I knew immediately that it was my goal and that is why I ran off celebrating it."

"At Portsmouth, the ball bounced and I didn?t get a massive touch on it," he added. "But I got the bottom of my boot on the ball and it went in the back of the net, so as far as I am concerned, that is my goal."

"I think that what is said immediately after the game should stand, that would mean I would get one and lose the other, but it is better than nothing."

Peter Crouch, meanwhile, saw his first Premiership "goal" for Liverpool given after his shot took a 90 degree deflection off a defender, and was then punched into his own goal by hapless Wigan keeper Mike Pollit.

Who said anyone at The FA was biased in any way?

"We have our own records and they will show Leon Osman as having scored six goals so far this season."

Other Everton records are thought to show that they've won 19 Championships, 6 European Cups and 4 Uefa Cups.

In all fairness, I with ginger t*sspot on this one. Who give's a feck what the dubious goals panel say? If a club wants to award a goal to a player, that's really all that counts. If I want to know who scored for Liverpool in 1950, I'll look in one of the official LFC books, not consult the FA's dubious-reasons-to-pay-the-old-boys-network-more-money panel.

Rick Parry said something very similar after Crouch's goal against Wigan to be fair.

Wasn't Crouch's goal on target when it took a deflection ? Thats why it was given to him in the end. If a shot is going in and then takes a deflections but ends up in the net then its always given to the striker.

If Osman's shot wasn't going in and got deflected into the net then its completely different.

Nothing wrong with what Moyes said but then again I don't think the problem is whether Osman's goals should count or not. I think most of us couldn't give a flying f*ck. What I find objectionable is their use of Crouchie's goal to try to make their point and also the inverted comma's around the word goal. w*nkers the lot of them....

The objection is the ridiculous notion that everyone's 'got it in for them'. Morons.
