madskilz Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Link Leon Osman has seen two of his goals chalked off by the FA's "Dubious goals" committee, while Liverpool's Peter Crouch's first "goal" for Liverpool still stands. Leon's goals against Wigan and Portsmouth have been given as own goals, which has understandably upset the young midfielder, who said, "I am very upset to say the least. I felt I scored them both." "People immediately gave the Wigan one to Thompson, but as he slid in he propelled my foot to kick the ball and that is how it went in the net, so I am a bit disappointed. "I think at first people assume it was an own goal, but if you look back at it you can clearly see that it was my goal. I knew immediately that it was my goal and that is why I ran off celebrating it." "At Portsmouth, the ball bounced and I didn?t get a massive touch on it," he added. "But I got the bottom of my boot on the ball and it went in the back of the net, so as far as I am concerned, that is my goal." "I think that what is said immediately after the game should stand, that would mean I would get one and lose the other, but it is better than nothing." Peter Crouch, meanwhile, saw his first Premiership "goal" for Liverpool given after his shot took a 90 degree deflection off a defender, and was then punched into his own goal by hapless Wigan keeper Mike Pollit. Who said anyone at The FA was biased in any way?
Benitez Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 mmm, conspiracy theories - they sound just like us then! See SpammyArse - all fans do it
stressederic Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 It was getting into the Champions League that did it for them.

liverbird04 Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 where everton is concerned its our fault ,as long as you remember that then nothing they say is surprising no matter how stupid it is.

R A Softlad Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Crouchy hasn't been awarded the Newcastle goal yet I see... I blame Leon Oscab 5...
Benitez Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 and look how stupid their whining looks I know, but thats just how it is, and it'll never change.
Hector McDougal Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 So what is his offcial league total now, excluding newcastle?
Guest Scot Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 It's all a conspiracy Moyes is a complete bell
matty Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 "We have our own records and they will show Leon Osman as having scored six goals so far this season." Other Everton records are thought to show that they've won 19 Championships, 6 European Cups and 4 Uefa Cups.
R A Softlad Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Well Crouchy's got the Newcastle goal now o I'm happy. 3 more before the end of the season Peter lad.

Other Everton records are thought to show that they've won 19 Championships, 6 European Cups and 4 Uefa Cups. In all fairness, I with ginger t*sspot on this one. Who give's a feck what the dubious goals panel say? If a club wants to award a goal to a player, that's really all that counts. If I want to know who scored for Liverpool in 1950, I'll look in one of the official LFC books, not consult the FA's dubious-reasons-to-pay-the-old-boys-network-more-money panel.

CarraLegend Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 It's all a conspiracy Moyes is a complete bell Translated to "Uncle Bill has told me 6 goals obviously look a lot better than 4 goals when we are trying to sell the little t*** in the Summer"
The Hitman Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Aye,I don't see the problem here. We were all up in arms when Crouchy's goal wasn't given to him on the spot.
Falconhoof Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Wasn't Crouch's goal on target when it took a deflection ? Thats why it was given to him in the end. If a shot is going in and then takes a deflections but ends up in the net then its always given to the striker. If Osman's shot wasn't going in and got deflected into the net then its completely different.
mm2259 Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Nothing wrong with what Moyes said but then again I don't think the problem is whether Osman's goals should count or not. I think most of us couldn't give a flying f*ck. What I find objectionable is their use of Crouchie's goal to try to make their point and also the inverted comma's around the word goal. w*nkers the lot of them....
Guest Scot Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 The objection is the ridiculous notion that everyone's 'got it in for them'. Morons.
