jimmylibel Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 His recent comments really do suggest that the rumours about Rafa being 'devasted' when Gonzalez got injured last season were very close to the mark.

Falconhoof Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I can't get over how cheaply we picked him up. If this lad plays as well as rafa expects then we'll have the bargain of the decade.

5InIstanbul Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Comments like that make you think he is not coming here to be merely a "squad" player. I thought this would be the case at first but it's clear Rafa has very big plans for him.

He will really solve our left-side problem. With Kewell as cover we can play Riise at left back so we should put Traore up for sale, the useless cn*t. I can't wait. Young Player of the Year next year I reckon. Bound to score at least 10 from midfield.

Candystore Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Hopefully he'll play against Real Madrid on Sat night. The game is on Sky btw at 7pm. Madrid have two good right backs and it'll be interesting to see how he does against them.
MarkD Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 (edited) Already he is my favourite player of next season. If he is not selected, he is being treated like a dog. He'll 'need time to settle in new country/the physical aspect of the Premier League' and by then I'll have a new, favourite player - but at the moment, Speedy is the man! Btw, is he any good? Because the implication is that OM's Ma would cost over £4m when the whole "joke" is that she's cheap and easily available. Only Robert Redford is going into seven figures for a night with a woman.

Tony shouts out, 'No, sir he's a full-wit!' Tony = rides to work on the Sunshine Coach
Leo No.8 Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 According to his value, Gonzales in only a tenth as good as Cisse. In light of this, I'm no longer excited by his arrival...

psl Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I expect him to be the best player in the league next year. If he doesn't score ten goals in his first five games then he should be sold and Parry should be sacked.
MarkD Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Forget Gonzalez - too cheap. I expect Bord du Siege to sign for us or else.
Eskimo Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 A lot of people in Spain are raving about him at the mo.....I've been on a few Spanish footy forums in the last week and its funny to see his name mentioned in the "who should we sign in the summer" threads..

Personally I think Gonzales is overrated and Parry should be sacked because he didn't sign Figo.
