Things I dislike about my local team

I dislike them always playing that score from Strauss' "Also Sprach Zarathustra" (space odyssey soundtrack) whenever the team comes on to the pitch.

I dislike the cheerleaders, even though they are fascinating to watch when it's freezing cold and there is really nothing else to do.

I dislike the announcer coming on the screen to announce whenever someone has scored

I loathe them playing a 5 second rock jingle whenever we score. It's fecking horrible and someone needs to be shot for doing that. It was bad enough they always do it in handball (don't ask why, but women's handball is really popular in denmark and always being shown. numpties).

Love the fans, particularly the left end of Nedre C.

Things I dislike about my local team..?

At the moment? There isn't enough disc space on the forum.

I'm from Aarhus. ;)

you poor thing. :(

I guess Schalke is my local team. Things I dislike? Like most German sides, it seems (remember Leverkusen?), they always bung on the Quo when they score. Plus, I hate having to queue to load my Schalke chip card with money, then queue again for a beer and a third queue if I want some scran (which I also dislike).

That system is all over Holland to - I have to do that whenever I go to the Gelredome, Amsterdam Arena or Stadion Feyenoord with the wife's relatives. Queue to fill the card, queue for the beer/coffee and Kroketten (at different booths, obviously!) - realise you haven't enough credit on your card and go back and fill up again - Queue for the beer/coffee etc...

There are times - I know this will blow you - of all people - away, when you go to a well-designed, well laid-out, fan-friendly new stadium (both the Gelredome and Amstedam Arena have closing rooves) to see a game - not even with a full attendance...and spend half the game queueing. For drinks, food, the cards to buy food and drink, bogs, huge but slow automated turnstiles...and if you thought our PA was occassionally overloud, the one at the Gelredome in particular is like sitting on stage with The Who.

Mind you, de Kuip in Rotterdam is a glorified skip...

That's me, I tend to shout when it's on live. I'm trying to get Ant to tape it so I can have Operation Anfield as my ring tone ;)

You sad get

Note: You know what's worse - I think I know someone who already has - if I see him on Thursday I'll see if I can get a copy for you! I just pray if it works out nobody rings you when with other staffers - how sad would that be? Then again - maybe Ant could put it on ring back when you're on 'another kind of job'. :D

Says alot this post, why don't any of you actually support your local team?

Or is that too difficult?

Say a lot that you never move or think you might in the future.

Do you have to change teams every time you move?

I hate the fact that Sevilla's president, Jose Maria Del Nido, is the lawyer for quite a few of the politicians who have just been arrested in Marbella sting

Do they have to be.

What if they move to the city at a young age?

What if they move from the city at a young age and theres no local team?

Or if their parents move but they are brought up as fans and still visit the city?

Or if they move abroad?

Come on , clarify your criteria.
