Robbie Fowler says there has been "no indication" whether he will be staying at Liverpool beyond the end of the season (Guardian).

Newcastle's Michael Owen said he feared his World Cup chances were over when he was told he needed further surgery on his broken foot (Mail).

Djibril Cisse, Florent Sinama-Pongolle, Djimi Traore and Anthony Le Tallec will be leaving Liverpool in the summer (Mail).

Someone on the Liverpool Way indicated that Flo had done something to piss Rafa off before he went out on loan.

It was the high fiving and laughing with the mancs after we had lost there earlier this season + the fact that he is almost demanding first team yet cant get into the Blackburn team.

All off to Lyon? :D

Seriously, it wouldn't surprise me if Houllier tried to buy any of them back, they're all Gerard favourites. Traore was his first signing, Le Tallec and Sinama his 'gems' and Cisse his record signing. I expect they'd do pretty well in the French league and Lyon should have a bit of money to spend seeing how well they're doing in the CL and with the Essien transfer fee.

Expected more from young Florent at Blackburn.

I'd like to see him stay but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him and his cousin Anthony move on in the summer.

Something along the lines of them being the people's club.

Yep, he basically said that there always seemed to be more Everton fans in Merseyside than Liverpool fans, therefore they must be the more popular of the two teams.

Also as mentioned before, he was seen celebrating Rio's last minute winner against us.

Quite what he was up to is anyone's guess but it's hardly surprising that Rafa showed him the door marked exit. Bad attitude IMO and should not be allowed anywhere near Melwood .

The basic is, we have Gonzalez coming in The Boy from Banfield and possibly any from Alves, Prieto, Kuyt, Viktor, sundry others listed elsewhere and those as yet unknown outside of the boardroom. The plan is to move up and through.

The overall general quality of our squad will be improved and more than that, made reliable in the Rafa methodology and able to dovetail should anyone drop away or be injured. We trim the existant squad accordingly, and some of the best of the kids will be moved through.

I'm expecting that next year we will be even more resilient, tougher to break down and less wasteful in front of goal. Once, the press used to call us the 'Red Machine' as a form of backhanded insult - from next season it may become used again but as a muted compliment.

I don't think you could really call it a celebration, he was just being chummy with Saha at the final whistle, doing high fives and sharing a joke. It was nothing major, just a bit off given the occasion.
