Great players impress you in nearly every game, alonso does that, sissoko does it as well. We have the best central midfield in the world, even if Chelsea get ballack we are better.

Couldn't agree more mate, but he'll still p1ss it as the 'media' are now well and truly behind him.

Some of you may remember it? I think 95% of replies was that Essien was far superior to Momo. Is that still the view now? Got to say, for me, given a straignt pick, I'd pick our man everytime. If he ever learns to be more careful in possession he'll be a world beater.

Momo has been a revelation. I didn't understand all the fuss at first, but he's a cracking player.

 

Essien always struck me as an inferior version of Gerrard.

That may or may not be true but if Essien, a far more experienced player at club level and country and older to boot is taking a longer time to adapt compared to Momo, wonder how good Momo will be when he's fully adapted to the league. Afterall, this the debut season for both.

The price tag of a Chelsea player should not be taken as a huge factor when comparing players. Essien probably would have cost about half (or less) of what Lyon (unwillingly) sold him for, if he'd come to maybe us or Arsenal.
