Guest Kev Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Next season, if given the choice, would you have Cisse or Ronaldo on our books ?
Ombudsam Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 The one who is one of the best strikers in the world over the one who is the 3rd/4th best striker at the club please. That was easy.
jimmylibel Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Next season, if given the choice, would you have Cisse or Ronaldo on our books ? Is it just between those two options though? I mean does MO come into this equation at all?
CarraLegend Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Next season, if given the choice, would you have Cisse or Ronaldo on our books ? Is this a serious question?
McBain Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 (edited) If I was to name one striker in the world who's the antithesis of a Rafa type striker it would be Fat Ron Living off his reputation, lazy, doesn't track back, quick, scores goals Edited April 2, 2006 by Mcbain
Guest Kev Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Is this a serious question? Hyperthetical, treat it as you wish.
CarraLegend Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Hyperthetical, treat it as you wish. Ronaldo everytime, anyone who says otherwise needs to be sectioned straight away.
Gomez Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Ronaldo everytime, anyone who says otherwise needs to be sectioned straight away. I'm not so sure, I'd rather have someone who is desperate to play for the club than someone just here to pick up a huge wage packet. No doubt Ronaldo is /was one of the best player, but I don't want him here as I don't believe he will magically find his hunger again and put the required 100% into playing for Liverpool. I also think his wages would be better distributed elsewhere.
Guest Garstonite Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 (edited) Preferably neither. But I suppose if I have to choose it would be Ronaldo. Just as long as we sign somebody else with pace and an eye for goal. Edited April 2, 2006 by Garstonite
mickdundee Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 I remember lots of people saying that last year about Figo. He seems to be doing alright this year.
abc Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Ronaldo is so fat and thus has lost alot of speed, but when on the ball he still can beat 90% of defenders with his pace and power. Cisse is so athletic and can probably run faster than Ronaldo over any distance, but when on the ball he still struggles to beat 90% of defenders with pace or power. That and of course, the small little factor that Ronaldo is still one of the worlds best goalscorers.
Andyjandy Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Agreed - neither have the "hunger" or the team ethic to play in this team. 1st person to crack the joke is officially a clunt.
Guest Garstonite Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 I remember lots of people saying that last year about Figo. He seems to be doing alright this year. True. But I think he would find it hard to adapt to the physicality of the Premiership.
Big G Superhero Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 not particularly sure i'd want either tbh. Ronaldo was great last night, worked his t*** off, scored a cracker, upfront by himself. Methinks belly aside, Rafa would have liked what he saw. Cisse definitely for me, I think he's unfairly pilloried at times and considering his problems this year he's still got 15 goals and made some good assists. If his attitude is that he wants to stay at Liverpool, learn from Rafa and the players around him, then he could still make the grade I think. Consider yourself sectioned
abc Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 (edited) I remember lots of people saying that last year about Figo. He seems to be doing alright this year. Figo is class and has never relied on outright pace. His game is about quick feet, deceptive turns and shimmies, world class delivery with both feet and intelligent movement. And a knack for scoring important goals. You don't lose those attributes drastically just because you've hit 30. Edited April 2, 2006 by abc
Internationinteroperability Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Cissé offers 'possibilities' - Djibs over Ronaldo anno 2006
Lee W Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 (edited) The only 'possibilities' Cisse offers is nonchalance or kick and rush. Edited April 2, 2006 by Lee W
Internationinteroperability Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 The only 'possibilities' Cisse offers is nonchalance or kick and rush. Well it worked yesterday
lfc003 Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 (edited) Cisse has a good game yesterday, a very good game yet someone still finds the need to make a thread aimed to belittle him and make him look 2nd rate Edited April 2, 2006 by lfc003
Guest Evil_Ways Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Given the choice, Cisse, at least he has a desire to play for the club and get better.Cannot see Ronaldo be interested in anything but eating and collecting his pay.
Guest neuklon Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 someone still finds the need to make a thread aimed to belittle him and make him look 2nd rate Yep, who needs the media to knock our players...
kenny7 Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 The one that's on the diet for the World Cup will do nicely.. Which only means he'll return to being a fat c*** in double quick time as soon as the competition is over, which unfortunatley is when we'd get him.
Guest Scot Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 I really didn't think anyone would have chosen Cisse...
