if Ar senal do win the CL how would you feel?

 

Now Matty is just happy to see Juve out, but how would feel if Thierry is holding the cup with the big ears in Paris in two months time.

As a parting gesture that would be nice for him. It wouldn't bother me either way to be honest. It's good for English footy (if you can call the gooners 'English') and it breaks their Euro duck.

Once we were out of the competition I didn't mind who was going to win it so long as it wasn't Chelsea and thankfully Barca saw to that. One thing for sure is that Liverpool and Arsenal winning it in successive seasons would piss off the Chelsea brigade and that's not a bad thing. They can buy the league but not the European Cup.

I'm about as un patriotic as they come when it comes to other English teams in Europe. All I want to see is Liverpool flying the flag for England and all other English clubs, regardless of who they are, exit Europe as quickly as possible. (I know this would affect Englands UEFA coefficient etc but I couldn't give a damn as long as Liverpool are in the CL each year)

 

As far as remaining teams go, I'll be rooting for Ged and Lyon, failing that Barca.

not overly bothered. Would prefer them not to, but it wouldn't do me in if they did - as ManUre/Chelsea would.

 

Don't have any strong feelings for/against any of the teams left, would prefer one of the underdogs - Benfica/Lyon - Barca NOT winning it would be funny, but I quite like them.

If it does not have an adverse effect on us then I'd be happy for them to win it.

 

If we finish second in the league and they win CL, we have to go into a pre-qualifier becasue they would take our automatic spot (which is what should have happened last year when we won it). In those circumstances I don't want them to win.

 

If we slip to fourth in the league and Arsenal finish fifth, and they win the CL, we would be bumped into next year's UEFA Cup, so I definitely do not want them to win it.

 

In all likelihood we will finish third in the league, so on that basis I would not be upset if Arsenal won the European Cup. If it meant Man Utd had to cut their holiday short and come back for a CL qualifier then that would be quite funny.

 

I think Barca will win it btw.

I'm pulling for Villareal or Benfica. That would really piss the big boys off if the last three winners of the CL were Porto, us and Villareal.

 

It would also be nice to keep our CL victory fresh in the minds of everyone. If the @rse win it the media would quickly forget Istanbul.

I've just seen the highlights of the Arsenal game and they were sublime. This is the reason people watch football and why it is so great. Arsenal would make worthy Champions and we should all take our hats off to them if they do it just like we wanted universal admiration last season. In fact, the comparisons between them now and us then are numerous. I'll certainly be supporting them in the Champ's League. It would be good for football.

Have a lot of time for Arsenal, and although I'd much prefer a foreign team win it until we claim number 6 I'd be delighted for them, if only because of the quality of football they played during that unbeaten season.

 

Plus I'd love the Voyeur to win it to shut that moaning c*** from kings road up.

Mixed feelings. I have great admiration for Wenger. A European cup win would put him on a par with Slur Alex and I can imagine that riling the drunkard.

 

The overiding thing is LFC supremacy and I don't want another English team to ever get even a tiny step closer to it.
