at odds with another post precisely 5 minutes ago.

If you're referring to Rushian's post regarding investment and a new stadium build then not completely. I don't know the details, but my mate is well informed on the finance side. 'Descending into farce' doesn't mean it's not going to happen, but would suggest to me that it's by no means a done deal as some are concluding. I shoudl know more on Wednesday if he's willing to divulge a few details.

It's been terible all along. A feasibility study undertaken to explore the expansion of Anfield, in an attempt to show that everything was accounted for and thoroughly thought through, put off potential investors because they thought it was a sign that we weren't totally committed to the new stadium build.

If true that doesn't say much for the quality of the potential investors ...

to be honest I've always thought it's been a desperate attempt to escape from the farce we landed in when trusting the local politicains and quangoes to help us out on this ...

Has anyone heard that the Spaniard has been knocked back, having been told that Liverpool are on the verge of getting the necessary investment for the stadium and funds for players? Source reputedly Balague.

Hopefully, something is on the horizon or we're gonna find it increasingly difficult to bat on the same level playing field to the other top sides.

Arsenal are ready to move into their new home next season, Man U are expanding again and Chelsea are minted so it isn't really an issue while Abramovich is there.

Juan Villalonga, ex- president of Telephone, has great plans for the Liverpool that with him could become a "global force". That account the Daily Express that in its edition of yesterday turned the news the rumors that aimed at the interest of Villalonga in taking control of a significant portion of the Liverpool that at the moment is into the hands of the Moores family, majority shareholders.

Nevertheless, the Liverpool, with that already has had contacts, is not in favor of the work because it considers his supply insufficient and because it is on the verge of confirming another greater investment related to the construction of the stage. "I want that the Liverpool happens to be a club centered mainly in the domestic thing to become a global force", it is the phrase that him company/signature to Villalonga in the Express. Its plan consists of increasing the value of the club, modernizing the organizational structure and to improve its commercial image abroad.

The Liverpool needs money to progress in the field and to in fact turn the dream of a new stage, but the one will not be Villalonga that provides it. Rafa Benítez, that is to as much of the strong investment on the verge of falling, received the promise of a better contract for him and its equipment, in addition to a greater investment in players the next summer to give the qualitative jump that the club needs. He was president of Telephone Juan Navarrese Villalonga (Madrid, 1953) is licensed in Right by the University of Deusto. It presided over Telephone between 1996 and 2000.
