Has anyone read the Echo match report?

Domininc King, sure it wasn't Andy ?

Pathetic from start to finish

He's the Everton correspondent.

Bascombe does the Liverpool view.

Prentice does the overview.

Calm down!

fair enough but that's the official Echo match report, not an Everton based analysis of the game.

Bascombe does not seem to have a piece in the Echo today.

were we even there? one of the most one eyed accounts I've ever read

not sure why Bascombe has not written this report or a Liverpool version of the game

Prentice also has an analysis piece with the usual sly digs included

I live down south these days but my brother stopped getting the Football Echo years ago, saying it was indistinguishable from the Everton matchday programme

excellent, strop over!

they must have just put it up as it wasn;'t on there 10 minutes ago!

nice one Chris

There's no question this victory is more satisfying for Liverpool due to the circumstances. The jibe aimed at the Reds that they're 'a one man' team wasn't just put to bed here, it was nailed into a coffin and buried so deep underground it's inconceivable anyone will dare excavate it.

ha ha!

even better

The fact they were still restricted to adopting the tried and tested formula of asking Duncan Ferguson to pop in his gum shield for the last 20 minutes was a damning indictment on what had gone before.

A latecomer would never have known Liverpool were a man down, although James Beattie's anonymous display was somewhat of a leveller.

The Everton report should have been more honest though...

Liverpool 3 - Everton 1

We were total clog-balling shyte. The End.

That Bascombe report is the dogs b*****s - most of his analytical points could have come straight from this forum eg xabi stepping up when stevie isn't there, garcia's big game temperament, the crouch v beattie debate and the comparison between the respective manager's transfers.

Great stuff :applause:

Isn't he Joey Joey Joe Shabadoo ?

IMO some of them probably do come from this forum. A lot of sense is spoken on here and you have access to a varied range of opinions, if I was a journo I'd be on here after a match looking for points I may have missed at the game.

but it's a bit of a mission to have to filter through everyone else's ramblings to find what i last wrote
