I dont now if people remember I have been having an on going e-mail argument with this chuff after he said that if Benitez was English he would have been sacked after the Burnley and Soton games last season, andit was the worst Liverpool side he had ever seen....obv this culminated in a pissed rant at him when I got bac from Istanbul!!

I have only mailed him a couple of times this season.....But on Saturday he was at it again...saying Everton at 5/1 were worth a bet as they had more british players and would be up for it more.....he also said that he was going to put a bet on there being no red cards as early kick offs never ignite

He's the worst tipster I've ever heard. He offers pre-match tips at William Hills and whenever he suggests one team will beat another I always do the opposite to what he says. I didn't hear him say Everton were a good bet, but would have predicted it on his past form.

As for being a professed Liverpool supporter, I've never heard him have a good word to say about the team

can't f***ing stand him ,what he wrote about rafa in particualr last year was a disgrace ,he refused to give him any credit ,and backed against liverpool at every single stage we progressed in europe and then he got stunned big time .

from a straight forward betting point of view, the 5/1 on Everton was the logical bet. They were in good form, Liverpool had played the extra mid-week game and in a Derby anything can happen.

That was the value bet in the home/draw/away market. I had a small bet on Everton at 5/1 for insurance purposes - absolutely delighted I won feck all! Just like Everton!

To be honest, they weren't 5-1 for nothing. We were also in form, were playing at home, where had kept innumerable clean sheets. As one who bets on an almost daily basis, there was no value at all in taking Everton to win. Someone in my local bookies down south was shouting the odds about backing Beattie to score and Everton winning 2-1. I told him I'd have a side bet with him that Liverpool would win and he could choose the stake - he wouldn't bite needless to say.

The worst I could logically see happening was Everton getting everyone behind the ball (their usual Anfield tactic) and grinding out a draw. Nevertheless a Liverpool win was always the more likely betting success.

But why is it that when we're in form and even a bunch of scufflers like Everton are in form (although they'd beaten no-one of note really), people discount our form and big up theirs?

Possibly because we had beaten no-one of note either?

I agree that a Liverpool win was always the most likely outcome. I just thought that Everton @ 5/1 were a touch too long and represented value. that does not mean I discounted our form. We'd had two away games in the space of 48 hours since Everton had last played. I thought that could be a contributary factor for the derby, that's why I thought Everton were value at 5/1 in their cup final.

Yeah he tipped Crash ages ago to win. I also remebmer him tipping us in 2001 to win the treble at 100-1. He did last season come across as a cvnt, but he hasn't been as vindictive this year, so he might of seen the light.
