Mike Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 says that xabi overreacted with histrionics to get van der meyde sent off.he clearly did no such thing and even the most ardent blue slime could see his reaction was genuine to getting an elbow in conk. love to know where he drinks so i can t*** him in the nose, watch his reaction and remind him how it feels. g*******.
Falconhoof Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 (edited) What a d****ead! is he meant to be mates with Robbie ? On the subject of Xabi, has anyone else noticed how he's targetted for fouls by almost every team now. I was going to post something before the Derby about it and then Van der Meyde and Drunken added to the evidence. He recieves more than his share of late/off the ball fouls.I don't understand it, its not as if he's a nasty or unpleasant guy, maybe he's targetted by managers before games as the one to 'take out'. Benitez Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 he's a chit. Don't understand why he loves having a go at Liverpool so much. His comments about Alonso and Garcia are out of order and unnecessary. Just chitstirring.
Leo No.8 Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Practically every newspaper report about the game I've read has been terrible. 'Yob Culture' etc, practically every one referring to how the match having so many cards besmirched the good game of Liverpool ahead of the capital of culture in 2008, and choosing to ignore a fantastic display by a Liverpool side without their best player and one less for most of the game. Talk about ridiculous - The Sunday Mirror actually coined the phrase 'there was nothing for the football purist to see in this game'. Obviously that particular reporter went for a pie when we scored our second and third goals then - it doesn't get much purer than Kewell's goal in particular. Some anti-Liverpool feeling being expressed all-round I think...

Anny Road said that that was City's gameplan when they were up against us at Anfield a few weeks back - but then Xavi was taken off after 15 minutes and their gameplan was blown out of the water.
Guest Kuzco Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 maddock deserves death by firing squad. Nothing less will do for this pathetic excuse of a human being.

liverbird04 Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 when spurs played us they made comments about alonso as well as being the player to keep a tabs on ,seems its a common theme .

liverbird04 Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 especially since gerrard was moved out wide ,teams take a look and think 1)stop alonso2)isolate gerrard and thats it .

cymrococh Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 and attack down the left, as that's the weak side.

Maddock should have left the pub early and watched the replay before writing such rubbish. And, as you'll be reading this, Dave, you're a talentless, agenda-driven t***.

Couldn't recognize him on the highlights. Reminded me of the reaction to effete foreigner Luis García's dive on the edge of the box in the Anfield derby last year, the one where he bent his shin in an attempt to make it look like Hibbert had gone over the top of the ball.

Guest Red Mist Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Maddock sided with the blues, accusing us of being diving, play-acting, imaginary-card waving cheats. What a c***.
Coyler Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Yeah, think he was trying to get a reaction that would get him sent off to be honest. He had that yellow very early on. That's the only thing that can explain Ferguson's trip, generously assuming that there was any thinking behind it at all.
SkippyjonJones Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 the everton s**** head deserved to go for that - no doubt that it was a deliberate elbow. I do love the way that certain elements of the "Did crumple" have got into XA's game - hes getting good at it!!
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 You don't have to bust someone's nose to make it a red-card. Imagine if Gerrard had done exactly the same? And as for thuggery...the same game could have been reffed more sensibly - with 3 yellow cards instead of 10 or whatever it was

I assumed his bitterness towards us was because of the whole Fower/Thommo/GH stuff...
