Playing some excellent footie atm...

 

Saw the game against Valencia yesterday in Sanchez Pijuan.

 

 

Small exchange after the game with a fantastic player and an ace person to boot -

 

Me: "Carboni. Missing Rafa are you?"

Carboni: "More than some people think..."

 

Alves ran riot again and Navas was excellent.

 

Third penalty missed on the trot (in two games).

 

All in all sets things up nicely for the derby against the other team in their slum on La Palmera.

Heard their keeper was hit with a bottle of whiskey chucked from the stands in the game before last, was he OK?

In Atletico's Calderon...

 

He was hit by a lighter, a can of beer and some coins - the 750 cl glass bottle of Ballentines whisky missed him by a "whisker"...

 

ref decided to suspend the game - and then renew it once most of the fans had left the stadium...

 

Hell of a game - from the 15th minute Sevilla bossed Atletico around so much that Torres and company imploded...

 

We also missed two penalties and a hatful of chances...but still managed to win 0-1

 

Yesterday against Valencia more of the same - a missed penalty and bags of chances begging... but 1-0 victory places us within 2 points of the fourth spot...
