smithdown Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 "It's up to the authorities to do something. Ask any British player. It's the last thing you want to see, players running up to the ref and shouting for someone to get a yellow or red card. García only did it once, but their foreign players speak good English. It's not as if they don't understand what they're doing. It's not a man thing." stubbsy la Man thing?
Koogan Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 It's obvious, he's peeved because Everton fork out the 25 grand fine from the players' wages!

intense enigma Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Everton players in talking about being a man shocker
Lee W Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 What about the card-crazy English referee's, some of whom can't see blatant handballs and the English linesman that haven't a clue what offside is ? And players have been trying to get each other booked for years - way before all these Johnny Foreigners landed. It is a man thing Stubbs - you should man up and stop whinging.
Cunny Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 my eyes must have deceived me then, when I saw the Everton players surrounding the ref wanting Gerrard sent off. I'm fairly sure Weir, Stubbs and Hibbert were at the forefront as well.
Guest TanMan Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 It's a manly, British, ballsy kinda thing, eh Stubbsy. Yeah, I know, it's wrong, but hey..... I hope that's not a cancer joke.
smithdown Posted March 27, 2006 Author Posted March 27, 2006 If Garcia "only did it once" then how come they had twelvety men booked? Luis's english language skills must be fantastic.
Falconhoof Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 I'm sure Arteta will be delighted to read this.
owenthomas Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 saw Cahill having a good moan for the ref to take action on a couple of occasions..
Boca Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 saw Cahill having a good moan for the ref to take action on a couple of occasions.. But he's a foreigner so it's to be expected.
David Hodgson Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 b****** (s) I hope that's not a cancer joke. Hope you're not getting testy with me....
G Richards Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Cancer is not funny. It's a bit like Russian roulette, and something like 1 in 3 adults will be affected at some point or other. Given the frailty of the human condition we cope by having a laugh. I don't see the jokes about Stubbsy as anything more than that. Given he's a blue as well, there is extra incentive to have a pop.
Knox_Harrington Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Stubbs can f***ing do one. Does himself and his club no f***ing favours. They were having a pleasant chat with Dowd after Gerrard went in on Kilbane were they? f*** right off.

cymrococh Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 I particularly liked "If Kevin Kilbane had rolled around on the floor after Gerrard had fouled him, there would have been even more action taken." Even more? He'd have sent him off twice?
Ripley Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 I particularly liked "If Kevin Kilbane had rolled around on the floor after Gerrard had fouled him, there would have been even more action taken." Even more? He'd have sent him off twice?Having studied recent South American games, Dowd would clearly have produced his referee-issue Glock and put 5 in the Gerrard noggin.
cymrococh Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 (edited) Has nobody mentioned the sign of a bit of a pattern in this oft-quoted statistic? Premiership match-ups with most red cards Liverpool v Everton 14Aston Villa v Newcastle Utd 10Middlesbrough v Southampton 9Chelsea v Everton 9Leeds Utd v West Ham Utd 9Newcastle Utd v Everton 9 Edited March 27, 2006 by Paul Caruso
Knox_Harrington Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 (edited) You have. Twice. Good point though. EDIT: Damn you Caruso. Edited March 27, 2006 by Knox_Harrington
Mike Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Damn you Caruso. if that is not a line from the thorn birds, it should be.
CarraLegend Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Cahill was lucky not to be sent off for that lunge on Gerrard from behind the s***house c***, so much for tackles from behind being a straight red.
fyds Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 if that is not a line from the thorn birds, it should be. Stubbs is such a twot 'I 'ate those foriegn ba*tards - er - except ours - and anyway, I'd shag their women on holiday abroad cos they're dead tasty - well I would in theory anyway'
