Bailo Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 In order of preference: Walked 2500miles and spent £250 at Liverworld Walked 1500miles and spent £150 at Liverworld Walked 500miles, spent £50 at Liverworld and ate a pie Walked 150miles, spent £25, picked up spares to the Manc game from a tout and had a soft drink Locals
L19red Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 just about everyone at the manc game should qualify for a semi final ticket. They had 7000 tickets that day so only 37000 home fans, and if we get half of a 75000 seat stadium we should all be sorted.
Miracle@Istanbul Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 The last time we played a semi final at the toilet against Villa in 1996 tickets ended up going on general sale the week before the game, I think because the tickets for the then recently opened upper west stand were so expensive take up was slow. Was a bit of a different climate then though, we had a cup replay at home to Wimbeldon i think it was and only about 20,000 turned up for a midweek game.
psl Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 So with an away attendance at Portsmouth on my fancard I might have a chance?

Gravy Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 I'd be dissapointed if season ticket holders with no credits got the oppurtunity to by a ticket ahead of fancard holders with home and away credits. Disagree. IMO, ST holder who shell out at the befginning of the season shopuld get first shout. That's part of what being a ST holder is about. IMO.

They didn't do that for the carling cup final. if I remember rightly the whoile ticket pricing was a fiasco.....they wre mostly very expensive....loads of ermpty seats that day Aye. Our semi final tickets were more expensive than our final tickets. Villa brought about 8 fans
Bailo Posted March 27, 2006 Author Posted March 27, 2006 Disagree. IMO, ST holder who shell out at the befginning of the season shopuld get first shout. That's part of what being a ST holder is about. IMO.I see your point, and the club's transfers are obviously funded year on year by ST holders putting their money where their mouth is, but it gets a little "closed" if you do that, doesn't it? ST rarely change hands now outside of family/friends, to make another competition closed to all but 37,000 fans seems a little unfair. In the first rounds of cup competitions, don't ST holders get preference on seat applications anyway? So if you go from the start, you'll have the credits to go to the later stages.
David Hodgson Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 That?s right. Because the STH went to all the league games and didn?t flog off their seats on a unpopular game by unpopular game basis in the ticket forum. What kind of nomark would do that ? Surely someone like that has no right taking up a season ticket when the queue to get them is so long. I think people should be stripped of their tickets if they can't prove attendance.

What I can?t understand is how they can then claim loyalty and demand the first pick of other tickets. Anyone who has been to the other Cup matches should be first in line. Plus OOC?ers who want to come over for the game of course

I think people should be stripped of their tickets if they can't prove attendance. I did that for the Brum game. Purley because the other people I was going with couldn't make it. I couldn't afford to go on my own. So I sold my ticket on. For the record the season ticket I have isn't in my name! edit: I'd also like to add as this is the first season I've had this ticket and it had no credits for the Luton the game on it. I had to miss that. I did however haul my arris all the way down to Portsmouth for a freezing fecking Sunday night game. Edited March 27, 2006 by Jonesy

Because the STH went to all the league games and didn?t flog off their seats on a unpopular game by unpopular game basis in the ticket forum. I take it you're having a pop at me? By how do you determine unpopular? One that someone can't attend due to family commitments on a Sunday or one that decides it isn't a "big game". Would you consider the Everton game an unpopular game? I fork out about £1600 a year in June. Included in that price are FA Cup home games, so whether I go or not I have already purchased so yes, I think I have a right to a semi-final and final ticket. johngibo YPC Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 interestingly there was a woman at my turnstile on saturday who put the card up against the activator like you supposed to, but didn't go through when it turned green. This meant the card didn't work when she tried again, and there was abit of a delay as the turnstile fella hadn't seen her do it. Anyway she confessed to it not being her season ticket, and to not having used the system before as she was a blue!i would have not let her in, and stipped the person who gave the card to her off his/her season ticket. Who would give their derby ticket to a bluenose!!!!

SkippyjonJones Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 So if you don?t go to the games then you think you have first choice to semi final tickets over someone that did go?
Gravy Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 So if you don?t go to the games then you think you have first choice to semi final tickets over someone that did go? I purchased my FA Cup tickets last June. Included in my ST was the purchase of 4 home matches in the FA Cup, which determines part of the price of the ST. We only had one (which I went to). WTF shouldn't I be entitled to a semi-final ticket?
Gilps Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 I did however haul my arris all the way down to Portsmouth for a freezing fecking Sunday night game. Your encounter with Dave Hill that weekend ought to count as a credit for the Brum game anyway.

Including Portsmouth away? Just an example. Because I don?t.

NHE is implying that I shopuldn't be entitled to a semi final ticket. So you have a st and have been to one FA cup game. And paid for 4 games.
