ricflairandy Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Not just the goal, but his overall play was excellent and he worked his a*** off. Constantly running after players. And as for the goal, thats luis all over isnt it Well played son.
IgPig Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 He's scored a few like that now. I am gradually learning not to let myself get frustrated when he loses the ball, because the stuff he does well, he does very well. Not worth worrying about the rest

Not worth worrying about the rest I think hes getting better at that though, certainly doesnt seem to loose the ball half as much as he used to, and he does track back now. Only problem with his game is that he cant tackle for s***, so when he does track back and tries to tackle a player he ends up fouling them. Simlar to scholes.

Looked very good today though. That backheel turn to chip
Nebraska Red Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 a few weeks ago, this lad was on most lists of "players to ditch in the summer". today and Brum prove how vital he is to our team. He is the best we have right now to partner Crouch upfront as he has the pace and vision that neither Fowler nor Morientes has. I see Fowler playing alongside Morientes and Crouch playing with Garcia as our options for the rest of the season. At this rate Cisse will be the odd man out unless there is a ban or injury.

Guest AnfieldGrass Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 What a wonderful world. Aye, fecking brilliant. I only just learned the score I was on hols without tv or internet. The joy is beyond words. harry, lil Luis you are brilliant lads. And what about Rafa, Gerrard to get sent off was a master stroke Just when I thought the week could not get better after Birmingham, well folks it just has. Life is glorious with the reds coming up that hill.
Paul B Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 And he's nails as well. I thought he was struggling yesterday with what looked to be a hip or side injury. He never quits or complains though and THAT'S what I like about him. Certain other players should take note....
Red Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 In one of recent games the ball came to Luis and he flicked the ball in totally the opposite direction to where everyone was expecting, for a split second he even had the camera going the wrong way! Nothing came of the flick and he lost out to the 3 defenders surrounding him if memory serves, but that's always stuck in my mind as a little reminder of why he's such a valuable player to have. He has the nous to try things in a game very few players would think of, or expect and this together with a genuine ability to change a game in an instant.
Guest redmilky Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I think Crouchy and him are really starting to gel together too - little and large... or something.
