I think it was more 'someone's turned up the volume' but, even so, he was extremely biased towards LFC throughout, which must have wound the bluenoses up a treat.

Went off Barry davies during euro 2000 when he accused some yugoslavian (as they competed in that) of play acting when the kid blatantly wasn't and couldn't play on. It smacked of "look at what those foreigners are up to again"

Davies is great. Miles better than Motson, who was far better when he commentated by his self. Now he just sounds like he's rehearsing for the next edition of FIFA.
