what a game....

i was so looking forward to it yet very apprehensive because Everton were getting good results, rather than the jammy 1-0's they kept getting last season..

The line-up looked strong though I expected Robbie to be in the squad with him not playing mid week and his experience is the derby's..

In my opinion Everton started off the stronger team... they had the majority of the play without threatening...

s*** myself when Stevie went... stupid and naive from Stevie really... kicking the ball away was daft..

But then the game totally took a change and we looked like we suddenly had about 15-16 players in the team.... everyone worked so hard and effectively.. There wasn't one slacker out on the pitch... was so proud... and then we scored.. made all the better with it being an OG from that t***.

it shut the blue s**** fans up through half time..

second half was a master class from our lot... Luis' goal was delightful... where I was sat we had all expected him to be going off as Rafa had Kromkamp warming up and had signalled to Luis before his goal... but little Luis deserved the goal and played well and worked hard to earn his stay on the pitch...

Pissed off we conceded but it kinda drove our boys on even further... Moyes was being a nobhead making 'diving' gestures to the ref about our players... but the third goal shut him up... I was sat directly in line with the shot from the paddock.. it was sublime and Harry deserved it... at this point the majority of the blue s****s realised the inevitable and started to leave...

Full time and it was great to see Rafa take to the pitch to congratulate the boys... they deserve a couple of days off for that display...

probably the finest display from our boys this season in my opinion.. the passion shown was fantastic.. Momo is a star... kept working hard, winning the ball back and taking pressure away from Alonso.. He is fast becoming my favourite of all of Rafa's signings..

right off to get ready for a night out in town.. got some bitter mates to catch up with

ditto - throat is fooked.

I would just have preferred them to keep 11 men to the end so we could have had another round of 10 MEN, WE'VE ONLY GOT 10 MEN.

And as accurate as i find your description of the game, I feel unable to go into so much detail right now. I can sum up it up in one sentence though.

They are utter sch!te, our boys are feckin heroes.

seeing Reina leg it 100 yards to celebrate Garcia' goal was the icing on the cake. true route 1 football, keeper to tall forward to little guy to the net. classic

great all round display form the team that showed guts and passion.

I've just got back from my first derby and first home game and what a game! I managed to get a ticket in the away end, so had to keep my mouth shut for most of the game. I tell you what; it was such a fantastic sight to see all three sides of the ground erupt when we scored. The renditions of FOAR were awesome too.

As for the game itself, I was going for a 1-1 before kick-off. When Gerrard went off (I thought he was daft to try that tackle for the second yellow), I wasn't cacking myself because we were playing 1-up anyway, so it would mean more of an attacking push from Garcia and Kewell. I wasn't expecting a win from then though.

As it turned out, we seemed to play better after the sending off. Everton could not get the ball off us, nor keep it themselves, especially in the second half.

Weir was all over Crouch all the game. Couldn't see why he didn't get penalised for that. But then, I couldn't see why Kewell and Stubbs got booked in the first half. They just seemed to be jostling around. A quiet word would have sufficed. Just seen the VDM red card and it does seem a tad harsh. He wasn't looking at Alonso at all. Thought the ref was overly-fussy today. It was not a dirty game by any means.

I was really surprised at how little Everton tried to pass the ball around, to make use of the extra man. Whether it was the strength of our midfield or what, but they just seemed to knock the ball over, which was bread and butter for Hyypia and Carragher.

Seeing the away end empy after the Kewell goal was great, as was seeing Reina leg it to the Kop to celebrate. Fantastic!
